Bad Hand Day!!!

What better way to start of my weekend then to get and injury... haha sliced my thumb by the side of the boat today at training... lucky time trials is over when it happened if not its gonna be a screwed day for me man... Here is one photo of my hand. The day didn't start off good for me actually, poured heavily as i head out for training, so had to get to training ground half wet. Then time trial, was first group up for the day, and did a super lousy timing of 2.17 mins, super pissed with myself, so had another go and ended with 2.09mins, slightly better but guess can be better. Anyway, its was the paddle back where my hand slipped from the oar, and hit the side of the boat, which so happen to have a slit. Didn't think much of it at first and carried on paddling, until i started feeling a sharp pain on my hand and i looked. Blood was covering my oar (the part that i was grabbing) and my hand was bloody and stuff... Heez, with that, i got to rest all the way back to shore as the rest of them paddle their lungs out... hahaha.

here is more footage of my injuried finger... haha nothing better for me to do i guess....

Beautiful Sunday

Today, went for a little outing with my section today, pretty much a birthday celebration for Jasmine and Adeline, as their birthday is around the corner... then caught the movie, "Over the Hedge" not bad, got a good laugh over it... heez.. saw zhi xun and gf also... haha... Anyway, got myself a Queen CD... very nice... starting to like it alot coz many of the songs have very nice lyrics.

After that got to borders for some Fish and Co. honestly, didn't really enjoyed the food there, other then the oysters. Got the Grilled Seasoned Fish, which is super salty, and the service sucks, from the moment we stepped in, we waited for a table, then waited for utensils, waited for water (which i requested from then for at least 3 times) waited for sauce, and even waited for the bill... haiz... poor poor service...

By then, it was time to call it a day... enjoyable day overall... haha maybe won't happen for awhile as everyone is busy with things, especially me, as i am busy preparing for SAF day and the brunei trip... nevertheless, it will be much remembered...

Birthday bash dash my aim...

First of all I have to wish my best friend, HERBERT a very Happy Birthday, and hope you enjoyed the night... though its pretty disappointing that you got drunk that quickly... missing all the fun on the dance floor... heez.. oh yah, and another friend HuiFen, heez so glad she still remembers me after all these while (4 to 5 year no contact??? cannot remember)

Had a very short week, worked for three days, but with the training we been through, our week have never been longer... Had a very sinful evening yesterday. Met up with bert and gang after work for a celebration. Had sakae sushi, had a whole table of good food, and since i only had 5 slices of bread the entire day, naturally i tucked in whole heartedly. After which, went to Obl O to party the night away... haha and when u get to this kinda place, alcohol is a must. Had a few glasses of beer, a shot of tequila and 2 tequlia pops. haha, and just dance the night away to all that R&B music... then had to dragged the already drunk herbert home, which is about 3 am... Lihao allowed me to drive myself home from herberts place... haha got to drive his mercedes. its fun experience but also stress since its a posh car... haha but at least i am getting the hang of auto cars. Still enjoy manuel cars thou.

There goes my no beer/alcohol diet. Today, got up at about 1pm, the latest since a long time ago. which destroyed every bit of my plan of going tanning. but didn't matter, the objective is to relax today and i did.. at home... in the comfort of my room infront of my computer. Tml there is dragonboat training... woo... hope it will be fun... as for the rest of the day will have to see, guess i haven't got anything installed... heez.. Thats all for the day i guess... Ciaoz

Monday B!!!

Its not really a big Blues... but things never seem to be good today, I guess partly caused by the cough that i had since last thursday... Spoiling all my plans, to go gyming that is... This morning, went Sentosa hoping to get a tan that I got last Monday, but apparently the sun was in the mood for some fun as it played a game of hide and seek with me, therefore didn't get the tanning session i wanted, went for a few laps in the sea instead before making my way back to mainland for some SUBWAY!! just love it... heez

Pamered myself with a puma t-shirt and settled something at the bank before making my way home... was dead bored at home, and can't go to the gym due to my cough... (trainers advised) but still cannot resist the urge, so went for a light jog around the neighbourhood instead and some light circuit training at the estate workout area, chin-up and stuff like that...

Haiz, burnt my weekend for the stupid horses... at the turf club i mean... Oh yah, and this is out to the Singapore Turf Club Management. I am really unhappy for the treatment i got from your staff for yesterday event. No matter what our band was there to provide a service for the event and its 2 days in a row, we are all tired and all... after the SIA Cup race as we are leaving through to another gate... having to carry the rather heavy bassdrum after a tiring day, movement will tend to get abit slower.. but we still made an effort to move fast as everyone is dying to get home, however as we were moving to the gate, a staff started to rush us in a pretty harsh manner... I mean i dun see no reason for that at all... I mean i can understand that there is still another race, but i mean we are not like in the way or anything. And whats with the harsh tone man, we dun owe you guys the service... It really sucks man... that all I have to say... No words of gratitude and we still have to take in attitude from the staff like we begged for the job... I am still pissed even when i bring up the matter now... But i guess i am not going to blow it up... since its such small matter, and its most probably my last performance for them... Just need to let it off my chest...

Alright, i guess thats all for this evening... more to do tml in camp.. have a wonderful week ahead all... Oh yah, i got to know recently that i have many 'secret readers' in my blog.. heez... do tag ur views yah... heez... thx... Cheers

Dame... down with slight flu...

Argh... Shoo Flu Bug... go away, find yourself another owner, I am not strong enough to have a Flu Bug as a pet... haiz, had sorethroat yesterday, was about to start so i kept drinking water like there is no tml, lucky for that, the sorethroat subsided (with the aid of kris medication too)... Now its the irritating running nose... argh.. hate the feeling of falling ill. Means that so many activities have to be put on hold... Tml gym session will have to wait till further notice from my body condition...

Anyway, couple of good things while i arrived home this evening... Firstly, Ladies and Gentlemen... may i present...

My licence!!! Haha, asking for it right... i know... but well its what i earned for 7 mths of hardwork man... haha guess i deserve to show it off abit.. heez... First thing i saw on my table when i reached home, a letter from the TP, when I held it in my hand, felt something hard inside, so the excitement rises, and as soon as i open it... there it was... haha waiting for me... heez.. so anyone who don't mind lending me his/her car, just give me a buzz yah... i could use all the practise i can get... haha... and don't worry I dare say i am a pretty careful driver... heez...

Another things that just arrived at my doorstep was my modem from singtel... haha finally upgraded my plan... will installed it soon i guess... Now i can upload more beautiful picture, haha... faster speed faster surfing man... woohoo... too bad i dun game.... haha...

Hmm.. tml is vesak day, nothing much planned, working for both saturday and sunday... sianz... have to go to stupid turf club to play for some stupid race, and its not like those pple there are interested... its just STUPID!!! argh!!!

Alrighty then, thats all i guess, till next time, Ryan OUT!!!

Work as usual for me!!!

Haha, many will be looking forward to this week as its a 4 day work week, friday is vesak day, long weekend ahead and everything right??? WRONG for me... cause work is as usual!!! I am working every other day except vesak day and today. Why!!! this kinda life really make me sick... Worse of all the PAY SUCKS!!! haiz...

Anyway, lets not talk about that anymore, went sentosa this morning, was really go weather for a tan, loved it... think will drop by there again next week. The beach was all quiet and there is plenty of room for me to bask in the sun... haha and suprisingly, there are quite a number of girls there... haha goes to show girls knows about enjoying life man.. heez... Stayed for a couple of hours, then made my way back to mainland for subway lunch. Then, walk around harbourfront for awhile before heading home. Been rotting since i stepped home... thats pretty much how i spent the entire monday, @ home. Can't really blame me, coz its pretty much a working day and all my frens are working. Will be heading down to gym later on, just had dinner so not really wise to start workout straight away. Going to start my workout regime again, get into shape fast... for the coming competition, left my exercise guide in camp, so guess i will plan it tml in camp then... well, meanwhile i guess thats all folks, hope u guys have a great start of the week... Cheers!!!

COG Main!

Finally after so many practise, its over, haha my debut performance at COG main as a Bass Drummer, fumble abit here and there, but overall its was not bad, or so i hope to think, and from feedback from the ORD personnels that was there to watch. Was tiring and having some difficulty gripping the sticks due to the glove, but now, just glad everything is over.

Here is a pic of the drumline for today, of which only 2 are real percussionist, the rest are woodwind converts, me inclusive. Its kinda fun trying out new things once in awhile, but then again, bassdrum its a really tough job... heez...

Yesterday, finally got my first taste of driving an auto car, which i really can conclude, its like driving a toy car... haha and very lazy, but its real fun.. Oh yah, by the way its my friend, Herbert's car... so kind of him to trust me... heez.. thx bro... My debut going into the expressway too, going at 90km/hr woohoo, must say its pretty fun... guess i really could use for experience... Today, another camp fren of my Zhi Xun let me drove his Lexus RX300, one of my dream car, who would have thought that i would have the chance to drive it man... haha wonderful experience, but due to my lack of experience and taking its for granted that the camp is empty, i neglected all my safety checks, which is something that you CANNOT forget, not matter where you are.. Thx Zhi Xun for telling me off... appreciate its... experience gained... heez...

Hmm... tml off, guess i will head of to Sentosa for a tan, and yes, its alone... well sometime when you got to go, u got to go, u get what i mean... hees (if not nvm)... and GYM... haha tml start of training day man... have bout 6 weeks left... so have to work extra hard... hopefully can get something back this time around... Alright then, thats all i guess... will keep updating once i got the time... meanwhile stay happening everyone... Cheers.

What a week!!!

WooHoo... May 2 2006... impt date now man... haha coz its the day that I got my driver's licence!!! yeah!!! ladies and gentlemen, yet another driver is born... class 3 licence... in case you guys are wondering, I got 10 points (neither here nor there but its alright for a first timer) heez...

Haha enough on the licence lah, no car, so life haven't changed much for me... *suck thumb*... Anyway, things in camp is really starting to get busy... COG, BIT (brunei thingy), SAF day!!! these three is already giving us lots of stress man... This excludes turf club performance next week, and ALSC the following.... argh!!! think i am really going to fall soon... haiz... but i cannot afford to, as the responsiblity of Bass Drummer is burdened upon my shoulder... for BITs...haiz... so many things to do, and there is only one me... not trying to make myself sound real important, its just that sometimes i feel that i am doing more that what the average bandsmen is required. argh, i need to "jian chi dao di", until the time i really cannot take it i guess...

Just got a call from my dragonboat captain, saying he wish to see me in the A boat... man another stress man. Thou its always been my dream to make it into that boat, as its where all the medals are... So time to work my ass off again.. haha... strict diet and stuff to come back... heez... hopefully all my hardwork pays off these 3 months...

Apart from that, its been a tiring week, oh yah, Sunday will be Changing of Guards again, its our turn to march down orchard road again, but the different is that this time round, i will be a bass drummer. So do come down and support k, its my debut performance for COG as a bass drummer, we are gonna march off at 530 from the intersection of hereen and the old singtel building... so yah... come down and watch it will be fun...

Alright i guess thats it, will try to post again when i can find the time... meanwhile guess i am hitting the sack, nite to all and have a wonderful weekend ahead

This is IT!!! No more turning back!!!

Tml at around this time i will know my fate... what seems so far away, now is so closed... still can remember the first time I got in control... tml is the real thing!!! If i say no fear, i am lying, but honestly, its not that bad, maybe tonight i will feel it... haha hu knows... But confidence level is still pretty high, so hope everything goes smoothly tml. Later will be my last lesson, to brush up on my weaker parts... then its all on my own tml...

Ok lah... then more i talk about it the more its haunts me... CHANGE TOPIC!!! heez, saturday head for dragonboating again after a couple week absence. People are just as friendly as ever, but missing the race seem to be a big mistake as it seems like i missed out on alot of fun and can't really relate to their topics, but all i know is, we have a couple of months to the next big race. DragonBoat Fest, happening on 24 June... Training time!!! Two weeks of rest really slacked me off quite abit as at some point, the fatique did crawl up upon me. Couple of time i almost couldn't catch my breath man... time to do more cardio i guess.. Afterwhich head home for a shower and just slacked saturday away...

Sunday was more fun-filled, met up with Sherine, Adeline and Waileng for a little KTV session early in the morning... had loads of fun as Wai Leng's jokes and funny moves brought lots of laughter in the room. After that, we carried on with a movie "Daisy" with my lovely "girlfriend", acting in it... haha (wishful thinking)... Its not like the average korea movie, yes its still about love story, and yes someone dies... haha but its much nicer, trust me... a MOVIE worth watching... Coz Ryan says so... haha...After which, we did abit shopping here and there, thou the progess just got in, but still have to save it for better use until i am certain of the outcome tml. heez.. For now save save save, heez... but saying that, yesterday's outing did spend quite abit also, as we went to try the korean food in the basement of far east. its not bad, but too bad the ginseng chicken cannot really taste the ginseng, but we all got out bloated coz we finished everything up... haha after that out final stop was at PS before heading home... its was really fun...

Today, make a trip back to camp, haha drop something off and get something back home, so i have lesser thing so bring back on wednesday... Stiff neck giving problem again. tink i will consult a specialist if this continues... wonder if its been my sleeping posture... haiz... Anyway, guess that all mate... heading down to the gym later in the day i guess... need to work those lacking muscles.. haha Have an enjoyable week then... Ciaoz.. Oh yah... HAPPY MAY DAY!!!

Loner life once more...

Now i know how its feels to once again be a loner... I thought i would never have that experience once again... but well its can be rather enjoyable... Morning, went to Sentosa alone, for a tan and also collect my islander card... was pretty quiet for a sunday, but the sun was pretty good... so i managed to get a layer of tan... thou not dark enough, but it was ok for me... Been out there for close to an hour before its started to rain... kinda expected it, looking at the clouds... so kinda packed up before the storm hits and head back to mainland before its pours...

Walked around HarbourFront, got quite abit of nice stuff, already on my "can buy" list... just waiting for the progress package to come in... haha... After which head back home thinking about rotting the day away... But my body was pretty hyped up... cannot keep still at home... haha so went to pumped it out in the gym...

Now, i am preparing to return to camp... dad have just changed his cab, so won't be driving for the next week... better return now then tml, hate traveling in the morning... haha Alright... i will end this lonely sunday evening here... may all have a great week ahead... 9 More days to go!!! Loner signing off...

Weekend!!!

Just realise that i haven't blogged for close to 1/2 a month now... that is a long time... but well have been pretty busy... but here it is... my life for the past couple of weeks... Guess i won't shall every detail, but just the highlights...

*** Good Friday Outing ***

Embarked on a 3 Days 2 Nights stay @ HangOut hotel with my flute section. so glad that so long, even after we have graduated. the bond is still strong within us... Started off the day with KTV at Cine, didn't know y i agreed (coz i am not a singing kinda guy, get wat i mean) but yah... had fun as I slowly explored my 'hidden talents' haha... Oh yah, took part in MI 3 Audition, was kinda fun and since we are stuck at Cine due to the rain, we tried... haha

After which, we checked in to the hotel, rot for awhile before heading to Chinatown for some porridge dinner... My idea since no one could decide where to go... hahaha then was off to Eski bar for a night of crazy fun... here are some photos..

Guess everyone had fun with the tequlias... i am sure i did... haha but well after was back to the hotel as many can hardly keep their eyes open... haha

Following day was suppose to be BBQ session at ECP, but due to the temptation of Kbox at Paradiz Center (which is pretty close to our place), we decide to sing again... haha first time singing so early in the day... but it was very fun too... After, we decide to just have out BBQ at a more convient spot, Marina Bay, haha save us all the trouble of cleaning after dinner... Pictures of dinner

After which we proceed to Picture house, the revamped cathey beside PS, for mover "Take the Lead". its a not bad movie... but i guess lack certain class if you view it in a professional manner, seems abit disrespectful to the dance... haha at least that is how i feel... but not a bad movie... Had rochor bean curd after... was superb... And that pretty much brings an end to the three days... was superb and lots of fun... heez... took a very cute neoprint... haha here it is...
haha cool right... well my uniform is from hogwarts... and the message i am trying to convey is "when magic fails, there is always a gun" hahaha....

*** end ***

Other than that exciting weekend, i guess its not much happening in life, things have been smooth in camp. we have now move on to the formation practise... and alos for several other parades such as COG and SAF day... We are slowly moving into the "peak period" and soon after that ORD lo... hahah cannot really imagine its really so soon... that i have wasted close to 2 years on NS... haha oppz... but well i guess there is some benefit here and there... just not sure where exactly....

It will be a week from my test.... really hope everything goes well and smooth... As for now... all i can do is not to mess up in practise... and everything will be fine i guess... Alrught then... i guess thats it... may all have a great day ahead... tata

Monday Blues.... abit...

Phew back from gym... was on HQ duty yesterday, together with COG, the day past really quickly. Haiz, Teresa didn't become the first Campus Superstar, so heart breaking. But she is a tough girl, merely teared. But i am sure she will be the next Clay Aiken, as in does better in everything compare to the guy. But i guess i won't totally say i hate the guy, coz he did pretty well too. Both were vocally strong, guess he won by his personality and ability to express himself. Feeling blue coz she didn't win, haha sounds really kiddish for my age, but well have been at this competition since their top 12, and have always been supporting her... so haiz...
TERESA U ARE MY CAMPUS SUPERSTAR!!!

Well... enough about Campus superstar i guess... the more i say the more the sour feeling rises from within... Hmm, oh saw a 'rich f**k' in camp today, while i was leaving for home after duty, why i say he is rich, well he come to work in a MASERATI!!! hahaha a class above the rest, making BMW 7 series seems like a toy car.. haha... now u understand y i called him that... all attention was given to him as the car drove into the gate man... haha life is just so unfair... haha

Was thinking of heading to town for a little shopping, but the moment i step home from town, got seated infront of the computer, the automatically 'died' haha, actually they are just lazy, or should i say i am just lazy and finding all sorts of excuses lah.. heez.. Besides another reason that is stopping me from town is well the fast depleting financial resources from my account... haha, in short, i am BROKE... money come and go really really quickly... hardly any to save at all... haha... Well, tml is work all over again, and yet another sunday duty... haha, must be thinking I must be crazy, but well everything needs sacrifices i guess... u lose something to gain another...

Feeling really sian, guess is lack of sleep, had to guard the phone, which strangly didn't ring for the entire evening. till close to 1 am before i give up and went to bed. Got up at 645 for breakfast before making my way home... And now after a pretty good workout... my energy is all drained i guess... Alright lah... i guess i will end off here... have a great week ahead, and enjoy urselves lah... Ciaoz

Woo Hoo... Finally dragonboat again!!!

Finally its the weekend AGAIN!!! haha... but at the same time while saying this, have to do HQ duty tml... so not much of a weekend left, in that case... haiz.. haha. Anyway, just make do with whatever i have first, as we are already approaching our 'peak' period.

This week there is quite a number of "first time" for me... Firstly, got new lesson, by a new instructor, and first time into a new environment. Its kinda different, and was kinda worried, but some how or rather, things went pretty smoothly. not as difficult as i thought, or heard. Secondly, my new phone finally got a taste of the floor... haiz... sad to say its slipped out of my pocket while i was trying to retrieve it. My heart smashed along with it when it hit the ground... but thank god its ok... at least everything is still in working order... Lastly, its my first time doing slow march funeral... had to do its yesterday for the colonel that pass off during the biathelon. Its was indeed a very sad moment, especially when u see his kids. Honestly, tears swelled up within me a couple of times when i caught glimps of the deceased's next of kins. haiz... life is so short...

Well, enough on my 'first times', now back to my weekend, looking forward to dragonboating again... haha missed it last week due to duty, so feeling more energetic to do for today's training. Saw some of the NYP team people training when i went back for band prac... and i must say... standards are deproving man.. haha... but well not nice to say anything since i didn't really made it to the team.. heez.. After Dragonboat still waiting for news on where to have dinner with my frens... they are doing the planning... Oh yah to all the shopping lovers out there, some update on the sale i seen. Project shop is having a 50 - 70 % sale on selected items, things are not bad, can drop by to take a look, erm... other then that, Levis at taka is also having a up to 70% renovation sale, saw a queue so i guess there must be some good deals... no harm checking it out... happy shopping then... Guess thats all i have for the day then... cya soon ba... tata

Weekend burnt yet again...haiz...

Just got back from a little morning jog around the neighbourhood. felt a little guilty after all the beer i had last night. heez... but i enjoyed them, thou its abit not enough. Had a little chalet for Band A, for the Dinner and Dance the other time. Won't say its very complete, why, coz firstly, its an ALL MALE event. Secondly, there was NO booze. Lastly, there wasn't even a radio to entertain the people that are BBQing... Oh yah, many thx to Nasser and Azre for all the food. its really nice, and thx for going healthy with the salad (mine suggestion...=P)

Now that this BBQ is over, just recieved news on another "BBQ", haha, you guys must be thinking am i even working right, well this "BBQ" ain't the normal type, its a SAFband's term for funeral parade. thats what the "" is for haha. Its happening this Saturday for the Colonel that died at the biathelon. Sunday I have HQ duty yet again, so both days of my weekend BURNT!!! sob...

Later, going for lessons with Mr Yeo, my last with him before i change to Mr. Yap, hopefully i can do well for all those weak points... after which should be heading to the gym. Not sure if i am going for band prac today, if my body allows i would go, considering only having 4 hours of slp. Think thats all about it for the day lah... will blog as soon as i get back... probably next week... ciaoz...

M500 race and PARTY!!! Woohoo

Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting to you the M500 Open Mixed Plate Champion!!! we beat strong teams like NJC, Ngee Ann Poly, BritCham and SPC team B to emerge top. Its was a bigger achievement when we have to do it straight after the semi-finals, as that how the schedule is done... dumb, but what the heck... heez...

Here are some photos of us in the action.

And last but not least, all the cute kids from the aussie team... always a key attaction to all camera man... heez.. not to be missed...

Really wish to post up more... but i guess that all the time i have as i need to rush back to camp already.... So i guess i will just end off with a picture of our hardwork.... heez..

A great week, and a better weekend ahead...

5 long days in camp and finally i am home... arh... everytime in camp, though haven't been thinking of home much... but the special feeling when u get upon returning home is beyond description... Well, let me just briefly go through how the weeks been for me...

This week have been pretty "PT based", something that i really like, as its means i have more time to hit the gym... heez... but not everyone enjoys it as much as i do... Some of them even got sunburned from the many session of soccers during PT. Reason for it is that SSG Maswan, aka my in charge, was on leave, thus our life was "easier". heez...

Apart from that, had to take a couple of half day offs for my driving lessons, have to say its getting smoother... thank god for that... apart from my u-turn which needs more practise, i dun see much problem on the road no more... A few more lesson and I will be changing into Circuits, hopefully i can do it. No longer Mr yeo le, will be Mr. yap, seems like a very strict and means business guy... hopefully i dun step on his toe. Nyp band have resumed, been back to see how things have been... would say progess is pretty slow, and i guess the worse would be the attendance (as usual, wats new). With the change of committee, i guess that things will take awhile before its picks up... i hope its will not be long. So glad to see lao shi again...

Today is St Patrick's day, a day celebrated by the Irish, was suppose to meet up with angie and gang like last year for a drink, but had this parade today that ended late, and by the time i got home was already 9PM, so decide to give it a missed. Besides, tml i am having another race, the M500 Race at Lower Seletar, so if you happen to be there... do come down and support yeah... heez...

Oh, something terrible happen today in the parade, or rather after the parade, SSG Maswan lost his handphone, its a said that some of the airforce pple did it, but well as a procedure we were searched when we got back, its sad that such a thing have to happen... and its an Ngage, not a very new phone to begin with... Finally saw Gerald again, have to say he have put on quite abit of weight... heez... seem like ORD dun seems like such a good thing for him afterall, with all the external influence, hahaha...

Been getting alot of feedback from friends that haven't seen me for awhile, saying that I have gone down, but i dun really see much difference in myself. But well its up to pple to judge... heez... here is a couple of photos, one took on my last COG main (Oct) and a more recent one (Mar)

Tiring weekend!!!

Argh... shoulder is aching again... its becoming a norm every saturday night... hahah should have got used to it ages ago... but well can't help but to complain abit... coz its really sour... Now really considering if i should go down for tml morning training... they did weighing again today for next week race... and i am 75 kg!!! OMG, my dream weigh... haha but well that is after a day of tough training and only having biscuit before that... so i guess its should still be a 76 or more.. haha but nevertheless its improvement... comparing to my last weight (81kg) since last year before the Regetta race (nov). Happy man...

Well yesterday went to meet angie's gang for a little drink, (couldn't take the bordem at home any longer). saw some nice clothes, so may do some shopping sometime really soon i guess... haha... went to A|X, the new season things are really not that bad... saw a couple of white pants that i fancy, but the pricetag is way off my budget... haha guess i have to wait for its to be off season and hope for the best again i guess... haha... Went to Acid Bar, was named Little Ireland for then evening.. guess all preparing for St. Particks day... got to try guiness with chocolate, with rasberry, green guiness and all, its pretty fun... Worth going down to have some fun... really.... its still there next friday (which is the actual day) not to be missed.

Okok, i have a couple of phone in mind now... was actually considering Samsung D600, however, got some not so good reviews on it... from some of my frens that owns it... so guess its out of the league... now this is the 2 phones i am considering

this 2 phones, O2 Xda iis or O2 mini... heez... tink might pop down the it fair tml to see if i can grab a good deal... Meanwhile give me comments on these phones yah... cheers

Back from a week for Parade!!!

Finally, the week is OVER!!! for me at least... wanna know why? because i have been playing bass drum this entire 4 days of the week... My shoulders are screaming for a break, and i truely deserve to give them one... From last Saturday, i have been giving my shoulders all the pressure it can handle (or at least I hope it can handle). This is how...

Friday, had Corp of Drums for BMTC parade next week, my first ever, was kinda fun but my hands tire out as it requires technique and strenght to project the sound. Worse of all, one stick broke during the eary rehearsal, and there wasn't any spares. Thus i endure throughout the day with one stick, which made my arm (expecially my right) really sore when we are done. Saturday, had my usual Dragonboat training, was a little tougher then usual as the race is sneaking closer (2 weeks from now to be exact). Sunday, decide to have another go and try for the first time how Sunday rowing sessions is like. Been hearing that is really tough so thought i try it out myself. Indeed its rather tough, having to run for at least 5 km, then did a couple of sets of circuits comprising chin-ups, dips and crunches. After which we start training proper in the water, which was made more challanging with the scorching sun... After that had to rush home take a shower and head to camp for Change of Guards Parade. Was really tired and didn't really concentrated well thoughout the entire parade, but i manage to survived, thank goodness.

The next day, got up extremely early @ about 6am as we had BMTC passing out parade rehearsal @ tekong, and i was Bass Drummer...first time, and hopefully the last time i need to play it... had to rehearse under the hot sun. The harnes of the bass drum also made my life very difficult as quite a number of the screws are loose and missing making it very shaky when marching. Thinking about it now, i really saluate Wen Xiong and Gerald for doing such a good job last time man... i totally understand the hardship they have been through playing the bass drum... The follow 2 days were the actual parades for both school 1 and 2 respectively, and i have to endure... hopefully this is the last parade i have to do in tekong...

Today, was suppose to go for lesson in the afternoon, but have to call it off due to the lack of players, another Corp of Drum, this time for Change of Command for Chief of Air Force. All thanks to Gerald, who isn't back from O/L, which make me be his replacment... But well today its ok lah, i guess after awhile you just get used to it... and things seems to pick up ok. but well better not make it a habit before my position as a bass drummer becomes permenant. Well now you understand why i have sore shoulders. haha

This week have been a disaster to my gym regime, have only made it to the gym ONCE, working out my chest and biceps. Definately hitting the gym tml, need to work on other parts of the body too... been working abit on my chin ups too. can safely secure 6 at least now. Apart from that, i guess the only things i have done is just some running around camp and a few laps in the pool. Wonder when i am really going to see results... haiz... Patience i guess..

Finally a general poll, I have been having a problem considering what phone to get. On my mind now there is 2, a Samsung D600 or Motorola V3i. I am not really a big fan of Motorola hence the D600 is the one on my hottest list current. I am open to more suggestion on what other phones i can get. so please tag to let me know yah... cheers... enjoy the weekends

Life is turning hectic...

Phew... just got back from a little drink with herbert, even had wedges to go with beer... haha well since its been a long time since i did it, so what the heck i guess, the man deserves some break man. haha, oh yah, any chelsea fans out there? the score is 2-1, chelsea won with 10 man (robben got sent off).

This few days have been super busy for myself, juggling work, gym, lessons, dragonboat all at once. The race is coming 2 weeks from now, more training on myself (off water that is) but next week is gonna be a tough week to schedule my workout as i have to go for parades almost everyday. Argh!! its killing me really!!! when its slack its really slack, and when its work, its PACKED.

Anyway, tommorrow there is gonna be Change of Guards... something special this time around cause our drumline is very "non professional", meaning half of which is actually non percussionist. A thing not to be missed... haha. Afterwhich, have to stay in all the way for parades throughout the week. Think that is bad, one day from my weekend is gonna be burnt due to HQ duty! so its gonna be an 8 day working week for me... how sad is that man... Tommorrow morning likely to attend dragonboat training in the morning, been hearing that its intense but have never tried it before, so thought i give it a go before heading back to camp...

Guess i am calling it a night soon... dame still a newbie with Ipod thou i have it for quite awhile now... thats what happen when u lack patience in reading the instruction manuel... hahah anyway... cya guys next week lah... hope everyone have a great week ahead, i know mine will be "superb" heez... ciaoz

Money Money Money!!!

Haiz, ever since I started earning my own source of living, it seems that i am constantly poor. Matters turns worse when i entered the Army, where i dun even earn a living, i get allowance. With the recent Budget 2006, I have yet seen or feel the effect of it, so i cannot really comment much on it, but hopefully it can bring me some spare cash... Everything seem to be getting steeper, food, clothes. Its not that I go for the expensive stuff, but its just seems that there is just not enough for me to lead a life of a common fashionable teenager, or rather young adult anymore.

Money, where are you... its seems that i have been trying to save, but no matter how hard i try, it just seems to seap out from my clutches, like trying to hold water in your hand... I won't complain that i am the worse, coz i am sure there is definately more people out there that is doing far worse then i am. I just need some place where i can express my feeling and fustration... Without money, is there really no happiness? Can money buy me happiness? at times i really feel it can... but i know, this kinda happiness is only temporary, but still its better then none at all.

haiz... feeling vexed over money is really a sad thing... but well... i guess in Singapore, everyone are, so I am not alone i guess... ARGH!!!!

Today was an enjoyable day spent at the Asian Aerospace, an event held every 2 years in Singapore. However, this year is extra special, as its going to be the last held here.. From next year onwards, its moving to Hong Kong, so sad and will sure be terribly missed.
