POP lo!~!~

Yipee... my very first day as the status private... the feeling is juz so strange. after 4 months of training, all for this very day.... all was worth it...

Yesterday was a tiring day man! really a test for everyone, as they had walked for 24km, they started from 7 pm of 1 december (MINE BIRTHDAY) and walked all the way till 4am the next morning. its drain off every ounce of energy out from everyone man.... on the last day, everyone was allowed to sleep till 10am and were to do their finally packing and area cleaning of the place before getting ready for the passing out parade. i was up at 8 yesterday morning, when everyone else was fast aslp, i was too excited to slp so i took a shower and started packing my stuff. as i was packing, i constantly looked at the bunk as i know that was the last time i was going to see it... after packing, i still have lotsa time to pace around the place to take a look at the company for the last time...and as everyone else slowly got up and prepared for time, i spend the time taking pictures and all.. its was very fun... and once done, we brought all our stuff downstairs and to the holding area, before going for our last meal there. After lunch we went back to companyline where OC gave his speech... its was really a touching moment for me, as we show our heart felt thanks for out OC, then he gave out some awards before we we called to fall in and head to the parade square for our big moment... god was kind enough to have gave us good weather (there was a quick shower before that), but was kinda hot. When we got to tekong parade square everyone lined up and waited for the big moment to enter. And as the drum beat of the band starts, everyone marched smartly into the parade square. once in there, everyone stood smartly as a series of events takes place. The heat was so intents that quite a number of them fainted. One of my friend fainted forward and bruised himself so badly, hear when he was carried out there was blood all over his mouth... scary. but the show must go on..... and there was a march pass before the offical parade was over... then we rushed off to put our stuff and prepare for the second half of the parade.... we got line up in the parade and they invited out parent forward to put on our cap for us... after the parents were as to leave the parade square, they announce us offically privates and we tossed our cap into the air to signifies our graduation, and we hugged each other with joy, some were even in tears, i am sure they are tears of joy... then as we waitied for our time to leave the island, we took quite a number of photos man... with the Sirs, sergents, and fellow mates... its a moment to be remember forever man... As we get out bags and were lining up to get on board the ferry, memories of when i first step on that very same ferry terminal waiting to serve my NS and all the wonderful moments i have spent one that island started rushing to me... and i must say i did felt my eyes watered... cannot really believe i am saying this, but tink i am really gonna miss tekong, a place that have brought me so many memories and started my jouney as a NSF...
