Busy Weekend PART II

Saturday... woke up at 6am, was involved in the fatique team for Central Band charity concert for Community Chest. Helped with the percussion instruments, then moved off to SCH (Singapore Conference Hall). There @ 8 plus, we unload and help set up the stage... After allocated our indivdual task and once the MDC pple start their rehearsals, we break for breakfast. *famished*. Went to Ah Moy market... bring back alot of memories... haha strangly the uncle selling noodles still remembers me (the last time i ate there was at least a year ago)... After a heartly breakfast... when to walk around the district before returning back to the hall for a short nap...

After noon, Central Banders and puppetters are all assembled... first rehearsal... heez... guess i let the pic do the talking...

After all that fooling around its down to real work when then performance commence... and after its all done, we had to help pack everything bring it back to camp and then unload them before calling it a day. by thhe time i got home, its 1 am... tiring and in my opinion, a total waste of my Saturday (haha) but its was no doubt a wonderful experience... at least i got to know so new pple... heez...

Sunday, got up early to go Sentosa with a couple of frens for a tan...
This was the weather when we got there... seems pretty nice day to have a tan right? WRONG... haha shortly after we have "try" to relaxed, its started drizzling... so we had no choice but to head to the nearest cafe for shelter and since we are there... get somethings to eat...

Lucky for us, the drizzle was short, but the rest of the day remain cloudy so i didn't really get the tan then i wanted... (sadz) but well there is always next time i suppose... so other then lying in the "sunless" day, we took pics instead... heez... here is one of the many we took....
After leaving sentosa, went to town for a walk and dinner at marche (been a long while since i last step in there) before calling it a day... fun filled day and a very very VERY tiring weekend... heez... next weekend... Dragonboat race and more fun.... For now... OUT!!!

Busy weekend!~!~

D Day is coming!!! Its 6 days and counting!!! i am offically going to be an adult... Feeling both excited and freaked out... been looking forward to this day since i am a kid... not that i am not longer a kid, its seems pretty scary... haha... On off for this couple of days, as end of the year is approaching, was asked to clear out off before the start of the coming year, good break i guess...

Now for my busy weekend (last weekend i mean) hehez... started off on a friday... went out with Sherine and Adeline for a movie... was tinking of watching "Just Like Heaven" but timing wasn't very to our liking, we watched Harry potter instead...
Showtime was still hours away, so meanwhile went to walk around town and have dinner... heez here is one taken with astro... heez... After some shopping, had dinner down at billy bombers... more pics...

The food wasn't fantastic... but the standard was there thou... and its really filling (american serving...or slightly lesser)... Enjoyed ourselves there pretty much.... After that was the movie... its was great, however there are many parts missing in this movie comparing it to the book... but well its was great overall... Then we rushed home like kids late from their curfews... heez.. gotta send the gers home first before returning to camp... and by then was already 1 plus am... hee thank god nothing happen...

OFF DAY!!!

hehe... had a good rest last night... had been busy preparing for the ASLC parade in tekong... the last ever in tekong before they shift to pasa labar camp.... Yipee... no more overseas trip, except for POP parade...

Today, OFF!!! happy to get rest, sad cause have to rot at home and do nothing... nothing to do... no one to talk to... shopping alone, something i have been use to be doing for awhile last time, suddenly seems uninteresting to me... its a BIG DEAL for a shopaholic like me... Thinking of going to watch the WCG... but well kinda lost interest, 1st no kaki, 2nd not really into game anymore, lastly, lazy bug in me is really strong today...

Call me a sadist or whatever, i missed school life, doing tutorials, attending lectures, rushing for projects and stuff... at least there is something to keep your life moving on... In there army there isn't really much things u can do... especially in my unit. At times i really regretted entering this unit... there isn't much u can learn... and its really a waste of the 2 years... However, looking at the friends i have made... its make me think otherwise i guess... But i mean if i have a choice... i would still choose something else i guess...

Guess thats all for this afternoon lah.... shouldn't have the off today lah... really bored and nothing to do... going for lunch now.... ciaoz then... i have to work tml.... sian so have to go back camp tonight.... have a great weekend ahead then... ciaoz

Fun weekend.... Not really...

It been a pretty tough weekend... i have to say... busy no doubt but for all the wrong reasons... with some exceptions here and there lah... heez...

Firday, went to scout for a place to hold our SAFband Dinner and Dance 2006 and also for prizes of the lucky draw... Went to SAFRA Mount Faber, not a bad spot... but guess there is better (you know what i mean *winkz) Anyway, then we proceed to Harbourfront for the look at some stuff we could used for lucky draw. Managed to get some quotation for out next meeting... Afterwhich, went out with a friend, Lisa, for a movie... Exorcism of Emily Rose. nice movie and i have learn alot about the religion in that contacts... Lisa on the other hand spend half the time covering her face... lolx... A movie i would recommend to watch... since its based on true story...

After which its was pretty late (for shopping) but still early night, so we pop by alley bar and chilled there till late... haha had lots of fun looking at pple, chit chatting at everything under the stars, and of course drinking... Got home about 3 am...

Woke up at 10 the following morning, watched abit of TV and was fighting with the devil within whether or not to go for a paddle... and i won in the end, had to convinced myself with the race and also not being to be there next week due to work... Training was tough (as usual) and pretty fustrating at times, as i was seated behind a guy and a ger there does not put effort into rowing making me lose my pace and screw everything up... sickening... But anyway after paddle, being controlling my beer intake, didn't join the guys for beer and hit the showers earlier... After which went to look for lunch/dinner before meeting up with some of my poly mates...

One of my ex- poly classmate's father have just passed away due to lung cancer... recieved news from another classmate of mine early in the morning, so planned to meet in the evening to attend the wake... Believe it or not, that was out first class meeting since we all graduated.... and what better timing then this to be meeting... As one of my classmate Guoxian said when we arrived, "what a place to have a gathering arh... seems like it the only time everyone can make it" sounds abit sacarstic, but its really true... Cannot blame with so many individual committment... But anyway, though the sad situation to be meeting, i am still glad to see everyone, brings back alot of memories from the past man... Reach home about 11 pm...

Well and to think that is the only bad news of my weekend... you are wrong man... Apparently that same evening, i recieve a msg from my best fren, Herbert, saying that another fren of mine, Dennes, is hospitalised... a relapse of his illness... the one that i had too but was less serious... Sent my regards to him as soon as i got the msg... hope he is doing well...

Today, had to wake up at 8 as i have a parade and return to camp... @ the Singapore Turf Club, For the Singapore Gold Cup, lame but well someones gotta do it... Got there and see the races and performed on 2 of the major intervals... felt so odd playing to a group of ah peh and also felt like a "horse" for once as we performed on the race track, just weird lah... Then, after the playing for the prize presentation for the winner of the cup by President (the main reason we are there) we packed up and call it a day...

Exciting weekend i have to say... but not exactly fun filled i guess... Anyway, tml is another week and buy thursday HARRY POTTER is in town!!! can't wait... lolx... as for now... wish u guys a pleasant week ahead!!! Cheers!!!

OFF on a monday!!! heez.. how cool is that... this must be my longest holiday yet since i am in army... but well todays off is not for no reason... its for working yesterday man. (COG parade). Anyway i was on HQ duty too so didn't really affected me much.. only that i was abit reluctant to return to camp after such long break...

Well, indeed that even will bring alot of memories when i look at the pictures... but i was very touched to recieve a handmade card from Karen... for everyone... each with their own pictures and stuff.. Can tell its took alot of effort and time... Thank Karen...!!!

Argh!!! Nightmare after a sweet dream!!!

"Hey boy, you seem to have put on weight again arh!" those are the words my dad said to me yesterday while watching TV... NO!!! think all the outing and feast have finally "revenge" and destorying all the effort i have been putting in the past month... time to counter!!!

Anyway talking about outing, just had one with my section on wed, hehe been a long time since we had one, its was kind of a Welcome back party for Andy, who just came back from Shanghai for his attachment. As well as a farewell party for Jasmine, who is leaving for America for her attachment... haha... this is what you call killing 2 birds with one stones...

Was working that morning, preparing for COG this coming Sunday, and had off that afternoon so met up with the gers (Sherine, Adeline, Waileng and Fong Cheng) as they had their lunch before heading down to town for SHOPPING!!! (girl's next best fren after diamonds.. heez)

There (by the left) is me trying to be funny with the pole in in the train... haha suitable for cover of menshealth??? wait long long lah i guess... When we got there... we went shopping and look around... and Adeline finally got her levis... her first ever... haha everyone deserves a levis... right *winkz...

Anyway after that, there is more shopping and slowly we swept across to Funan IT mall.. haha there is where i got myself a pair of running shoes!!! heez so happy... HAPPY DEEPAVALI!!!

First and formost, would like to say a very happy deepavali to all my indian friends out there... have a wonderful day!!!

Well today its been pretty much like a normal day for me, but for the first time in a long time, i woke up in the afternoon... haha its been a long time since i "pigged" around le... Past few days have been pretty smooth sailing i would say, and being the "public holiday" week (considering having 2 PH in one week!!!) i get to enjoy the much awaited rest that i have been craving for... and also give me more time to follow up on my workout regime... heez...

Dragonboat race is three weeks from now, not very near yet not very far from now... its my second major race with the team... considering that i have be MIA for so long in between... i really hope i can get something out of it... the last time i almost clinched a sliver... but i am hungry for GOLD this time round... the result for my time trails is out.. apparently i did not bad... average timing for both sides... haha normally pple does their trails for only their stronger side... but i kinda got mixed up and did both instead... Guess that is the short term goal i am working towards at the moment... before December hits and we once again get into the "busy" mode with OCS comissioning on hand...

Last night, caught up with a couple of good frens, herbert and dennes, who happened to be release from tekong, (herbert - doing BMT, dennes - recourse) to talk, watch movie and stuff... Saw Lisa too in town.. haha Singapore is indeed so small... everytime i am in town i am bound to meet frens.. haha (okok not always, but most of the time) Watch Zorro, its nice, and Catherine Zeta Jones is so pretty!!! OMG... her eyes is so mesmerizing... After movie, we had out for supper, for me i only watched as my frens have supper, strict diet... heez... Oh yah, for all the Newton Circles Fan out there, heartbreaking news, newton circles is closed for renovation... haha, consolation new is they have set up a temp eating place beside the old newton circles, so u still can enjoy good food after clubbing and stuff k... heez its pretty hard to miss honestly...

Alright then... short and sweet today... nothing much... tml will have a section outing... heez... looking forward to it... till tml its ryan here.... OUT!~!~!

Tiring day *phew...

Argh shoulders aching, head heavy, stiff neck... feeling like an 80 year old man... think i am going to pop one panadol extra before sleeping tonight...

Yesterday night was superb man... had a hell of a time, came online the moment i got home from camp, and Peishan msg me for a drinking session, thinking i haven't drink for like ages, and also not met up with them for ages, i agreed. When to pick up something from my frens first before meeting up with Angelina(aka angie) and Lisa in town... heez... shopped around for awhile before heading to Holland V.

All this time we are chatting and drinking... and i have to say beers are reasonable there man... happy hour, 2 for one price.. and good beer man... erdingers, hoegardens, ludwig, and many many more...


And at the end of the day, when everyone is pretty "sober", we played TRUTH or DARE... and when everyone decides that they cannot handle the TRUTH, everyone started to choose DARE, that is when all the stupid stuff happens... haha

But the ultimate winner to the DARE game would be peishan!!! haha she had to kiss Lisa, and also pluck a display off the wall and take a pic with it... heez... so funny...

Finally left the pub at about 1am, we were the last to leave... peishan got her hubby to fetch her while the rest of us hoped into a cab and got home... on the way home, the beer starts to have a riot with my stomach, guess i drank too fast for the last few pints (was part of my dare, finished 1 1/2 pint in less then a min) and with with bummy ride i on the cab... i couldn't take it once i when we got to lisa's place... haha i PUKED... In my history of drinking, it was my first time... Puked in between 2 cars at the carpark... After that ordeal, I was sent safely back home by angie (thx alot) haha... I would said its one of the more happening nights i had in ages man... enjoyed every bit of it.... thx alot

Another week and close to the end of the month!!!

Its been a fast week, seems like i have just completed timetrial for my dragonboat training, before i know it, there is practise tml!! yipee!!! Abit about the week...

Its been a pretty smooth sailing week, nothing extraordinary happened except the usual stuff, the week kick started with and ORD function, a day every bandsmen like me are looking forward to as it marks the day u are finally going to reunite with your PINK IC (i missed mine so much... heez..) Well, its was a function for some of the mates that have been through quite abit of parade with me through this year of my service, i am sure going to miss them pretty much i guess, all that crapping around, hot gossips and occasional backstabbing session... whoopsz... heez

Mid week, being the off peak period, took halfday to go jalan jalan in town, and caught "Flight Plans" really nice movie, really worth watching, love the camera angles the director used to capture the plane. Anyway, hate window shopping, why, because it always adds things to my wishlist/to buy list... haha here are some of the things i have spotted and is really interested to get just from Hereen...

(1) Levis Jacket (kinda formal, but can be used otherwise too...)
(2) Adidas Shoes w goodyear soles Brown (saw it in Frankfurt but was too expensive to get, so tot i get it locally, finally its out, but having second tot due to some "expert" opinion i got)

(5) Armani Specs [plastic frame] (most likely after army when i am back to my books)/ Levis Specs

Heez... well after that we didn't have time for other places and had dinner, so guess thats all for one place i guess.. heez... maybe can be added to my birthday wishlist i guess.. hee... That day was a Subway day for me man... had it for both lunch and dinner... Lov'in it...

Yesterday, was bored after camp, so when gyming with the guys from camp, then after, went for band prac (NYP) to see how everyone is doing, heez.. so glad to be sightreading pieces... after that, its was already drizzling when we (Me, andy and fong cheng) stepped out of skool, but its started to rain ELEPHANTS AND RHINOS (literally) and we were stucked at the busstop. Took a bus to AMK, before making a dash across to take a bus back to camp... Wasn't prepare to get my shoes wet... so i actually took off my shoes from AMK all the way back to camp... The RP was like shocked when he saw me barefooted and all. Looking like a fishmonger (with my jeans all rolled up and all) i braved the rain and lighting, and dashed back to bunk.... was soaking wet from top to bottom...

Luckly for me, i have very good bunkmates like Ba Chor and Tun Hao, who prepared a pail (belongs to ba chor) of warm water for me to shower.. thx guys... Had to air my clothes under then fan as it was indeed very wet... But nevertheless, it was a perfect "sleeping condition"

Kinda summarised my week ba, today have nothing much to talk about... but might be meeting up with some frens for some booze... haha unhealthy for my diet man... but once in awhile it ok i guess =P cannot remember when was the last time i had already... Tml is dragon boat time trails for the gers... hopefully everything turns up well... looking forward to it... meanwhile have a great weekend everyone... cheers..

Yet another week have passed...

Haha, its yet another weekend, this week i would say its not as boring compared to the last... heez, looking forward to a better week ahead... heez...

Anyway, nothing much is happening in camp, so i guess i will not want to blog about all those regimental sh*t and bore the hell out of you guys.. heez... Shall talk about my recent trip to town then. Wednesday was a halfday and since i didn't have anything to do and didn't want to rot in camp, so decided to walk around in town. Its been like months since i last been to town so it was time to update myself on the trends and stuff...

Met with Jin Cheng, Tuan Hao and Kenneth (my band mates) to do some casuel browsing, started of at paragon. Think the gang got a culture shock from my taste of shops as we browse AX and Burberry.. haa but after awhile they kinda got used to it... After browsing the shops in Paragon, next was Taka then Wisma, Along the way, there was lots of chats and laughters... At wisma, we visited Zara, where we got a t-shirt for joel wee as his birthday present (apparently its today) and then we met Weiye (and ORD personnel) working at Guess in taka, waiting for entry to uni... stayed on to chit chat for awhile before proceeding to levis. Saw a really nice jacket there, was so tempted to buy ($179) but there wasn't the size that i want, and the salesperson was so kind to help me check and there was a piece (last) at Raffles... but decide not to reserve it in the end... kinda regretted it kinda think of it... well its up to fate now lah, coz its a seasonal thing and there isn't going to be a restock on that jacket... heez...

After the walk, we settled down back at far east where we had Subway for dinner, have been craving for that a long long time... Before that, bumped into you hui, my SWO mate, he is doing well and got many news from him (about the band and some of the members)... Heez, so glad to meet and old fren and him still remembering you after such a long time... haha... well back to dinner, after that, we had a long bus trip back to yishun to get some cushions that Jin Cheng wanted, unfortunately, the bus ride was so long that by the time we got there, all the shops have already closed.. haha so we return to camp and that is the end of my town trip after a very long time... Fun i have to say, and also tiring...

I so want to watch a movie man!!! just realised the last movie i watch was "one last chance" the jack neo's production, i wan to watch Deuce Bigallow, 40 year old virgin, Goal and one more that is coming out Transporter 2, i missed Charlie and and chocolate factory and Corpse Bride... i think is about time i go on a movie marathon again... haha anyone interested to be my movie kaki??? haha

Tml is yet another dragonboating session, its the time trail session, haha donno if i can cope... but well will try my best... Was so looking forward to the race, but due to some unforsee circumstances, i guess i can only be the reserve for the race... well hopefully i can still earn something out from it.. above all its still down to having fun and knowing more people i guess... Alright i guess thats all ba... Enjoy the weekends and ciaoz...

Rainy Sunday!~!~1

As the year comes closer to the end, so come the monsoon season... its been raining cats and dogs since this sunday morning.... only now its seems to subside but there is a still a slight drizzle... Haha, was actually thinking of going town for a walk, but this rain have "washed" away all my interest and drive... heez...

Well yesterday i had back my first session of dragonboating after a very LONG LONG time, heez.. was kinda worried at first on how people will react... and will they still remember me... heez... but things went pretty smooth i have to say... juz have to be friendly, that is my motto, there was quite a number of new faces... but also some familiar ones... Like wayne, Reeve, Lynton... and many others which i know by face and cannot really remember their name... Lynton, the team captain, was kinda shocked to see me back... haha, was saying he haven't seen me for so long and suddenly i am coming back... have always wanted to go back, its juz that weekends have always seems to be occupied by parades and stuff so it seems impossible to be go back then... now its the "off peak" period, i can finally find time to go back...

This is a picture taken a long time ago... when i was actively involved in the team... I am the one in the extreme left on the boat... heez... so glad they have never forgotten me... and i have never really forgotten them too... this photo have definately bring back many wonderful memories of going to kallang every weekend, soaking up the sun and getting splash by the river water during our training... it was really really fun...

Anyway, there is going to be a race coming up... hopefully i can make it into the team by then... for now... its training training and more training for me... hope to get into the first team, and at least get a medal for myself... the last race, well was a "medaless sliver medelist" but was contented that we won the germans... this time have to strive... heez...

Okok enough about dragonboating, about today, its basically a rest day from the week.. and preparing for a new week ahead... feeling abit of stiffness around the neck, dragonboat? sleeping posture? i am not sure myself... but yoko yoko should work some wonders... And nothing beats spending some quality time with my mum... went with her to the market just now to get some ingredient for dinner later, haha my recent diet have given my mum abit of headache, as i have cut myself off form several food... No pain no gain....
