Why Why Why!~!~ one question I hate to ask myself, but time and time have to face... Its not a finger pointing situation where I can blame anyone else but myself. Blame it on school stress, assignment commitment... who am I kidding man!~!~!

This is a random entry for me to vent out i guess.... feeling very vexed... a mixture of alot of things, Lost, Stress, Inferior, Low self-esteem, Anger, and many many more, all negative air....

I really wan to break free, I wan better, I keep comparing, to my past, my fun times, and ask why isn't it like in the past.... what happened? Why dun i have moments that i laugh from the heart anymore, why are my happy moments getting shorter and shorter... why is there so many things in my head...

I guess the crunch time is finally getting to me... and saying age is catching up is utterly bulls*it but i am afraid thats that only excuse I can find for myself. Time management down the drain, multi-task my foot, motivated to hell with...

I need to love myself again.... but how?...

Enough is enough....

Today is more of a vending out session, I have been complaining about the organization i am studying now for such a long while that I have lost count on the amount of blog I have wasted giving them 'free publicity', but honestly enough is enough... Despite being the last semester, the administration side never fail its duties to throw us shit. As much as they hate us, I feel that the feeling is pretty much mutual. Time and time again we have endure whatever that has come our way, but this semester is really pushing all of us into the red zone.

This school is ugly, all the publicity it does is really covering up the ugly truth about its internal problem. Its like a spider web, nice to look at... but once u get urself entangled in one... its goodbye to you... I am pretty certain that this will be my first and final time having any affiliation with this organization. If ever I have the need to further my education, they will NOT even be in my list of considerations. I dare say that this school have provided me nothing my just a room to obtain my education, which honestly I can get so anywhere else too... but in every pile of rubbish, there is bound to be some treasure, and i do pity those kind soul in the organization that is trapped in there for watever reason.

Another thing, is teamwork, currently have a love hate relationship with this term. Supposingly teamwork should lighten burden of individual as the workload is being shared among more many others within a team. However, thats the nice picture about teamwork. When its not that way, burden seems to increase and even double as it seems. What i mean by increase workload, does not have to be physical, but mental. For instance, having your teammate to wait for you, worry about your progress while they communicate and one just decide to stay out of the loop, and having to constantly chase you for ur contribution. I mean come on, this kinda thing we do back then in secondary school man. And when we finally get the work, its CRAP, literally. so I mean why do we have to go through this kinda thing, and in the end all get the same grades. I believe in equal contribution, but am proven time and time again that some are just out to hitch a free ride on others... is that call working smart while other work hard? Honestly I can't do that feeling guilt free.

Anyway, I pretty much made my mind up about rotten apples, to remove them before they damage the rest of my crops... I have enough of free riders!!!!

ANGRY ANGRY ENTRY

Back for the final time...

Don't get me wrong... the blog is not closing down, for those that are worried... haha the final time simply means I am into my final semester of my uni life with MDIS. Its a love hate situation; cannot wait for it to fly past... at the same time can't bare it to chapter of my life to end. Like many people will say, life is full of contradiction, when u work, you desire to go back to school life, and when u are in school, you are raring to join the workforce, a cycle indeed. Fortunately (or unfortunately to some extend) I dun fall under that situation. I know it sounds kinda sadist, but given the choice I dun mind studying for life... hahaha Sick right? well its one of my goal in my future I guess... Will eventually step into the workforce, if not money will not fall from the sky and into my bank account right? hahaha but time to time, I guess I will take time off to upgrade my skill, continue learning... Honestly it is after I join uni that I found fun in learning, I used to think studying is a chore (dun get me wrong, it still is, just more enjoyable =P) reading and "using my brain" will be the last thing I would opt to do if given a choice. But interacting with people and also participating in meeting and all makes it all really enjoyable, especially the suprise you get when u marvel at others' knowledge and vice versa. There is so much to share...

Alright enough on the sudden interest in study... Reality sets, and yes... my internship period with MacroVic has end (in a rather positive note) and also my reservist. Dreaded reservist initally, having the thought of meeting a bunch of guys that I don't know and also having it so far away from home. But when found that most of us have a common thinking, the bond kinda came, and also expanded my circle of frens. It can be nice to get away from the hussle and bustle of life and slip into ur "greenie" I guess. Hahaha yet another sadist thought. I guess I felt this way coz the course is enjoyable, so was the company. Nevertheless its over, and next one is likely next year!~!~ (PLEASE PLEASE!~!~!) hahaha. Well, now, I am offically unemployed.. am considering finding another job as this sem is super packed... and the assignments are already piling up. The down side is my balance in my bank is dropping as fast as the financial market. I am slipping into a mini financial crisis, who will be give me a bailout??? HAHAHA

As I sort my thoughts out... and weighing my options... I will keep my eyes out and start changing my personal thinking then... I have personal issues to settle, to sort out. It was made clearer to me, especially in this tough times... Other out there are stronger then me, and they are losing job, and the market ain't giving much supply which is causing a surplus in demand (hahah been learning econs lately, many are going to kill me coz I am exempted fromt he module but i still attend lesson) so yah... need to change my pespective soon.

Anyway thats all I have for now.... So far this year, I got more indepth knowledge into events, and also a new licence!~!~ woohoo and also a song that I heard from army, that I think I should share... nice... and the mv is pretty touching... enjoy

I have an excitingly boring week thus far... Exciting coz plenty has happen this week, but boring coz I HAVE TO DO A STUPID REPORT TO MARK THE END FOR MY INTERNSHIP~!~~!~ 5000 WORDS LAH, and guess what THIS IS A NON GRADING MODULE!~!~!*&(@*#&$(@*#&$

So since I am having a mental block for that... tot I post a blog entry instead... hehe... This entry marks my 500th entry!!! *applause* been doing so over this year... finally hit the great five. hee.

Lets start with the week headlines... monday, while walking for lunch... found a bird being stuck in the drain, must have falling in, kind of a baby state coz it still cannot fly, and since there is the factory near my area that has been pouring out cemented water, the drain is flooded with muddy clay like substance, I could help seeing it struggling so i just grab a plastic bag and 'rescue it' the bird looks muddily wet, and not knowing what to do (like duh... i was heading for lunch, cannot possibly bring it along and treat it kopi can't i) I left it under a tree using a few branch to cover it. When I return, its still there, which pretty much confirm my assumption that it is a baby. So I called the SPCA, and they say they will come and collect it. In a series of miscommunication, they did not come and only came the next day, so we place it in a cage in the office.

Here is the sad part, just hours before the SPCA arise, someone life the bird on the floor (which was initally on a table, so the papaya in it attracted ants, and since the bird is along in it... they started to attack it too... I was devastated to see the state the bird was in.... its horrifying... its BIG ASS ANTS MAN i quickly drench the bird with water getting some of the ants out. When i past the bird to the man from the SPCA, I felt so sorry for the little fellow, its seems like my rescue for it turn out to be his final journey as i know there is no way they will keep it alive at the state its bring brought in. The bird was not died and looked at me one last time before the SPCA took it away... thinking about it now still brings back horrible memories...

Thats the headline, now down to entertainment news, There is this play that is currently going on at the Victoria Theatre call the Dark Knuts. I managed to catch its opening night thanks to Sarah for her invite. Its a good show, will not talk about the content of the show (dun wan to spoil the fun) but all i can say is that its a gigantic spoof act. So its good for movie lover, play lover, and tv lover. Recommended to watch (NOTE: more local humor)

Next, just heard on the radio today that Ip Man is such a success that they are planning a sequel to the show... For those that have no idea what movie I am refering to... this is it

Its pretty much the bibliography of this kung fu legend and an art that was pretty much lost and apparently the teacher of kung fu legend Bruce Lee, Legend of a legend lah... hehe so anyway, this movie was about his young age... the sequel will likely be about the time he has with bruce lee... and speculation thus far the person they have in mind to play that role is.........>AARON KWOK!!!!

Niu year! MOOooOOO

Halo everyone... hope you guys have alot of fun collecting angbaos and all... hehe... anyway didn't take any picture for chinese new year this year. all this picture that you are going to see is all not taken by myself... hahaha partly coz my camera cannot make it anymore after its terrible fall awhile ago... been rather senile lets just put it that way. Anyway, this year CNY wasn't off to a very good start for me, coz my mum was ill on chu yi... so i stayed home to take care of her... the onli visiting i did this year was chu er, to Auntie Angie's and Serene's place. Apart from that, the rest of my new year is spent protecting the nation.. hahaha

Thats about it for my CNY... people make new year resolution, but I make NIU year resolution, which is for everyone to have good health, faster recovery of the economy and of course jobs for everyone... So Ms. Universe right... okok something for myself then... I want to look like Jason Statham from the Transporter... haha know the dream is abit far fetched... but dare to dream and u will succeed... donno hu i heard it from... but whatever lah.. hehe HAPPY NIU YEAR EVERYONE!~!~!~

Was packing through my cds when i found a stack of cd that I burned before my previous harddisk decide to crash on me... Inside are fond memories... photos from many past event. Although there are plenty that I have lost during the crashed I am thankful for the few that I have burn as looking through them brings back many many wonderful memories. So much so that I have to blog to share a few... haha... New Year!!!

Happy new year to ALL!!! hee barely felt 2008 and already its 2009...time really flew and looking back at 2008, i really cannot figured out what happened man... hahaha...

Quite a few resolution for the new year.... starting with the more brief ones

1) Good Health to my family and friends, especially Serene, whom haven't been in the pink of health for a long time

2) Happiness to all...

3) Less war/man-made disasters

3) To get a job after my attachment (any lobang please intro k =P)

Now for the more specific one

1) Drop weight healthy to 70kg (my ideal) currently hovering around 75-76kg

2) More active in sports (go back to dragonboat pehaps)

3) Improve to be a better person (both in charater and also attitude)

Today is a very special day, (no its not the eve of NYE...=P) ITS DEAR'S BIRTHDAY!!! Happy Birthday dear!~!~! don't how she is till now? here is a picture...

Anyway my weekend was pretty alright, very simple yet fulfilling... first will be the long awaited band gathering with the gang... farnie pple, lots of laugh, hell alot of bitching and plenty of fun, unfortunately its after work, so was already dragging myself there already. here is everyone for the evening...

thats for fri... sat went to out with dear for a hair cut (which hardly anyone noticed...pfft.. hee) and a little shopping, a little episode took place... kinda spoiled my mood but was resolved... since dear was there... sorry for that little episode dear... heez...

After that met May and Irene at Kenny Rogers (MS) for dinner. Got gift and cards from them, also exchanged my christmas well wishes with them... then walk about into Zara (having sale, who can resist) but nothing was good and they are starting to have alot of "Made in China" goods OMG!~!~! didn't buy anything, probably during futher reduction i might consider (if i have the money even~~~ HAHAHAHA)

Anyway went to On the bund again, first time after its launch.... the place was much quieter... I couldn't quite make out the concept yet... and asian fine diner? a fine diner gone wrong? i really donno, anyhow... we met Carol there for some dessert and drinks.... set outside where the view was pretty alright and will look superb once the IR is up. Nothing much to talk honestly..so here is a pic of how it looked...

My verdict, No good... yes i know it sounds abit to straight forward... but honestly, other then the chocolate cake that can make it (thou is still a little too sweet), the rest is below standard (and i dun consider myself to have high standards when it comes to dessert...) Anyway the verdict was unanimous. Then the service, honestly I admit i have became more aware of service quality after I have done this course, and I can tell you, its not very up to standard, there is "selective service" based of dressing (not to say we are there in sandals and berms lah... but you get what i mean) There is no proper system inplace, I dun see the staff taking down orders (by writting down), and when the bill came, I WAS OVERCHARGE for a drink I haven't had... I was partly to blame coz i didn't check before I foot the bill... =P oh well, the experience wasn't fantastic, but it was not bad neither, but at the rate its going, they better be thinking of something really fast if not i dun see them passing next year, especially when the recession has taken a toll in Spore...

Seasons Greeting!!!

Merry Christmas, Happy Boxing day!!! and also Happy Birthday Sherine!!! heez.. in case anyone donno who she is.... here is a picture... hee

Pretty sian having to work on a friday after a holiday but what to do... its internship mah... hahaha, anyway Christmas was nothing special this year, It hasn't been special to begin with, coz I don't really celebrate christmas. But this year was fun as I get to spent it with Dear, simple and cost effective affair... haha

Eve I watch Ip Man with dear at AMK hub, after having dinner with May at Yishun, was kind of a last min thing, as dear had family gathering so just grab a bite before meeting her. Anyway had Xing Wang and they had this new noodles in Papaya soup... yes... something like the soup for fried fish soup kinda thing.... took the risk of boob enhancement (Tip for girls: papaya milk is say to enhance ur chest line) and tried it anyway. Verdict: its not bad, initally didn't like the idea of fruits in my main dish, but after I tried it, its actually not too bad, yes the sweetness of the papaya does make the taste interesting, but it does not leave behind it trace of papaya-ish taste in other parts of the noodles. so overall its good and recommendable to others to try....

Shortly after dinner, left to meet dear at amk. Poor girl waited for long... sorry dear... after that we decided to just sit around and wait for our movie. Had hot chocolate and she did lemon tea, one too sweet, the other taste like water!!! hahaa wonder if the mistaken and put the sugar syrup into mine... Anyway, the drink managed to last us before the show of IP man. Verdict on the show: VERY NICE LAH!!! hee... probably because I like wu shu films, and fighting shows for that matter, its rather wong fei hong-ish, but less the typical country pumpkim feel lah... worth watching and dun mind catching it again. And thats my Eve.

Christmas day, really more of a PH then a day to celebrate, just stayed in bed a little later then usual, and gave my alarm clock a break. In summary, I just left home to get groceries for dinner, which was fantastic, made and eaten by US (me and dear..) hahahaha

That its lah... Have a great holiday all and looking forward to 2009!!!

Snowing in Singapore?

Finally as we approach the end of the year, the wet season begins (which is likely to end by CNY) however, there is something different with the rain, different from the past years... The rain is not like the regular monsoon rain, those super heavy sort where you just have to be out for 10 sec and you will be soaking wet. Rather, its more like snow.... I know its strange coming from someone that have not seen, what more experience snow, but the feeling is really quite different. The rain drop kinda dissolves before it touches you... and it is very light, even lighter then our regular drizzle. Its like those mist spray kinda feeling. Not sure if you understand what I am trying to say.. but I guess you have to experience to understand for yourself... having snow in singapore don't seem that impossible no more...

My last weekend...

Haven't been updating about my happenings for awhile... last week attended my flute section's gathering, its became an annual event, and according to karen, it is already into its 4th (or izzit 5th) year.. hehez... anyway here is some pictures...

On saturday, attended one of serene's colleague wedding at fort canning... Congaz yusri!!!

Since it was a wedding lunch... we went out after the lunch to meet Joyce, my shopping kaki from my class... (thx to me hor... she got her gucci bag... hahaha am proud that i am such an 'evil' fren!!! hahaha)

One On The Bund Launch

Was invited for this event last week, a new place opened at the old Clifford Pier, The place sure looks alot of difference after the revamp... Will not say much and let the pictures do the talking then... enjoy...

Carol and I, she invited me... hehe... she slim down so much... making me look fat just standing beside her.. OMG...haha but then again, I wasn't skinny to begin with...HECK!!!

Here is just a sneak peek into the place... rather classy place, very spacious thou... hehe... suitable for small function and fashion shows perhaps? hehe... over quite class... thou a pity as its of historical value... oh well... for the better of Singapore as many would put it lah.. hehe.. overall... nice place with good view in the near future... hehe
