Phew... just got back from a little drink with herbert, even had wedges to go with beer... haha well since its been a long time since i did it, so what the heck i guess, the man deserves some break man. haha, oh yah, any chelsea fans out there? the score is 2-1, chelsea won with 10 man (robben got sent off).
This few days have been super busy for myself, juggling work, gym, lessons, dragonboat all at once. The race is coming 2 weeks from now, more training on myself (off water that is) but next week is gonna be a tough week to schedule my workout as i have to go for parades almost everyday. Argh!! its killing me really!!! when its slack its really slack, and when its work, its PACKED.
Anyway, tommorrow there is gonna be Change of Guards... something special this time around cause our drumline is very "non professional", meaning half of which is actually non percussionist. A thing not to be missed... haha. Afterwhich, have to stay in all the way for parades throughout the week. Think that is bad, one day from my weekend is gonna be burnt due to HQ duty! so its gonna be an 8 day working week for me... how sad is that man... Tommorrow morning likely to attend dragonboat training in the morning, been hearing that its intense but have never tried it before, so thought i give it a go before heading back to camp...
Guess i am calling it a night soon... dame still a newbie with Ipod thou i have it for quite awhile now... thats what happen when u lack patience in reading the instruction manuel... hahah anyway... cya guys next week lah... hope everyone have a great week ahead, i know mine will be "superb" heez... ciaoz

Money Money Money!!!
Haiz, ever since I started earning my own source of living, it seems that i am constantly poor. Matters turns worse when i entered the Army, where i dun even earn a living, i get allowance. With the recent Budget 2006, I have yet seen or feel the effect of it, so i cannot really comment much on it, but hopefully it can bring me some spare cash... Everything seem to be getting steeper, food, clothes. Its not that I go for the expensive stuff, but its just seems that there is just not enough for me to lead a life of a common fashionable teenager, or rather young adult anymore.
Money, where are you... its seems that i have been trying to save, but no matter how hard i try, it just seems to seap out from my clutches, like trying to hold water in your hand... I won't complain that i am the worse, coz i am sure there is definately more people out there that is doing far worse then i am. I just need some place where i can express my feeling and fustration... Without money, is there really no happiness? Can money buy me happiness? at times i really feel it can... but i know, this kinda happiness is only temporary, but still its better then none at all.
haiz... feeling vexed over money is really a sad thing... but well... i guess in Singapore, everyone are, so I am not alone i guess... ARGH!!!!

Asian Aerospace 2006
Today was an enjoyable day spent at the Asian Aerospace, an event held every 2 years in Singapore. However, this year is extra special, as its going to be the last held here.. From next year onwards, its moving to Hong Kong, so sad and will sure be terribly missed.
Anyway, got up @ 830 this year, met up herbert at 9 and make our way there... Had some bread for 'brunch' as prices for food there is pretty steep... here are some photos...
Some private jets one displays, haha hope i can own one of them next time, so i can fly as and when i want... woohoo....heez
Now to some heavier aircraft from the United State Airforce. Top is a carrier and the plane below is call the T.bird... tot it looked kinda like the one the Xmen travels in... hahaha
The highlight of this year show, Airbus A380, the First to Fly Singapore Airline. SIA will commence the used of the plane is November... can't wait!!!
Apart from that, there is alot of fighter jets, like the F16 Falcon, F15 Eagle, and many many more...
As usual, i would take some pictures with the pilots to this jets... they are all skilled flyers from the US Airforce man... dun play play...
At about 3 plus 4, was roaming around the exhibits and guess hu I saw. Our Senior Minister, Mr. Goh Chok Tong, and his wife... OMG.... got a up close pic with him man... wanted to shake his hands... but paiseh... heez.. here it is....
After that before calling it a day, took a picture with the giant poster outside, did the same thing 2 years back... haha brought back alot of memories...

Tiring week... more to come i guess
Phew... finally home sweet home... Just got home just a few hours ago, was involve in the parade for the late DPM, kind of a last minute thingy... glad that everything went smoothly. This week, was orginally nothing special, except for many PT session, which i like, coz it gives me time to hit the gym... heez... but well, apparently its not to the likely of many... Wednesday, recieve call up to be activated for the funeral, that afternoon went to esplande till night... was dead tiring (and boring) man... but we gave it our all... the following morning, had to assemble earlier then usual to rush there for more rehearsals... its indeed a big event... Got to see the efficiency of the army.... After last 2 days... today actual seems like a breeze... however the pressure was still on us... to perform to our standard... glad that we did a good job... everyone was happy. Guess this is kinda different now that i am pretty much one of the seniors in the band... everything seems so much simplier and communication with the specs seem to be so much easier.

Taken for Granted?
Usually this doesn't seem like much of a matter to me.... but judging from the past years... I just can't help thinking if I am taken for granted on certain aspect... Birthdays is a great way to see things, on other people birthday, i would not hesitate to get the person a gift, especially when he/she is my good fren... or a greeting or something... However, when it comes to my own, all this "friends" seems to disappear somehow... ever have that kinda feeling? Just take last year for instance, 21st birthday, its already sad enough to have it celebrated in camp, but what made things worse, was there wasn't any news from my so-called "best friend", as time i really wonder if he is my best afterall... instead, my biggest gift comes from my bunkmates... those i hardly know for a year... thx once again guys... but well, i am not trying to get things back in return, its just kinda sad that I am really that easily forgotten... even after being frens for so long... haiz... I am really lost trying to find the real meaning for friendship. Is it really a dog eat dog world out there? where there is not such thing as real friendship... i wonder...
Anyway, back to SAF annual dinner, promised to put some pictures... here is some....

Fun Filled Week
Phew... after so much preparation for SAF Bands Annual Dinner 2006, it was finally over last night, and i really do hope everyone enjoyed themselves to the fullest. I know i did, hey and guess what... I won myself a DVD player... haha 1 of the top 10 prizes for the evening (7th to be exact)
Before i carry on with the Anuual Dinner, let me mention abit on Sport day too... This year is my first sports day with SAF Bands, and will also be my last. Its held in camp and I would say its kinda enjoyable, but very tiring in my case... as i was selected as one of the runners for 10 * 1 km race... Was the 2nd runner, were in the lead, but from 3rd runner onwards, the gap was closed in by Central Band, and they were the winner in the end. According to some news i recieved, i clocked in a timing of 3.13mins for my run, 10 sec slower then the fastest runner in the race (Vincent), and in 2nd place... haha didn't know i could run that fast... well there is always something new that i can learn about myself... heez...

With the games all done, the officers entertained us with some "fancy drills" and showed us how the PROS do the job...

COG Support week...
Sunday burnt!!! had COG support today... haha the weather was weird, as we were leaving camp its started pouring and seem like its going to be a long and draggy rain. But the moment we got to the istana, it was bright and sunny... sianz...
Anyway, its didn't really concerned me, as i was reserved, so my job was to sit and wait and feed the mosquito as the rest carried out the parade. Learned my lesson from the last parade, returning to camp with many 'presents' from the 'locals' (aka mosquitos). So this time around, i brought along insect repellent, the SAF type, highly effective. Use the traditional "tissue" method learn in BMT, when mosquito coil is not an option. First take a piece of tissue and apply some insect repellnt to it... make sure its evenly spread. Then roll it up to look like a tube.... fold it to thicken it then burn one end. Put out the fire and the smoke will do the rest of the work. Highly Effective, didn't got bitten at all today... heez.. try it!
While looking for the insect repellent yesterday, found a journal that i have written during my BMT days, recorded my everyday life in tekong. All the ups and down, read the first few entries and memories of it started flooding my mind. Think will find time to edit it, then type it out, whu knows, one day you might find it in the best seller colume of all bookstores in Singapore. haha...
Guess thats all I have for the day, tml off, heez can slp longer liao... think heading to town to check out on phone and stuff... for now.. just slacking my life away... heez... 5 more days to Dinner and Dance... can't wait!!! Tata for now

Down with flu... sadz...
SHOO FLU BUG!!! don't bother me!!! haiz.. been sneezing non stopped since i left camp today... at first i thought someone is thinking about me... if that is the case, the person must missed me alot coz i haven't stopped sneezing since i got out of camp hours ago... but i guess its just the visit from the flu bug... of all time, THE WEEKENDS ARGH!!!
One more week to SAFBands Dinner and Dance, the last I will be attending... very excited, compared to the last one, maybe its because I have know more people this time around... I am in charge of the prizes this year... things are more or less settled on my end... just a couple more payments is required before the delivery... Haiz, was suppose to have help, but apparently the HELP wasn't much f a help. So i ended up doing everything myself... We had audition for that evening's competition, This year's standard way surpass last year standard, its gonna be a tough fight for all...
Today they picked team for Sports Day, my first in NS history... event i am involved in, Makan Sutra and 10 times 1 km run... hahaha actually isn't really ready to take part in any... but since i am in... just go with the flow i guess.. hopefully my flu will recover by then...

First sat of the new month!!!
Finally the week is over... My first week as NCO, fun but can be boring sitting in office all day, lucky its only a three day week... Guess nothing special happened @ work, so not going to say much about it... talk more about today...
Had a good rest the night before, maybe because of the early parade on Firday so didn't really have good 7 hours of sleep (army safety amount), so had a very good rest last night... woke up close to noon, cannot really recall the last time i got up at this kinda timing... haha anyway, got nasi lemak for breakfast, with a very oily chicken wing, feeling uncomfortable even when i think about it now, and to think i finished it, sinful haiz... After that, came online to settle some dispute on ebay... very sickening man.. but think will only disclosed it when the matter is settled lah... Surfed around for awhile then prepared for Dragonboat, the thing i looked forward to every weekend as usual.
Got to Kallang, was drizzling, thought its gonna be canncelled or what, but apparently everyone got on with it... haha, today training was back in full swing man... intensity is back to the times where we were preparing for race last year... we did 50 single strokes, then starts, power strokes and many many races... really pushing our strength to limits... and also burning off all the pineapple tarts and all the new year goodies that i had over the past few days. It great despite is being tough and everything... really enjoyed it. After training, got a shower and went to pasir ris to meet up with the gang to attend Zhiwei Birthday celebration at Downtown East. Alot of people, as in his friends, many familiar faces, only managed to identify one or two but know where they are from and stuff.. but what matters most is he had a great time and its his impt moment... heez... Happy 21st...

Chinese New Year!!!
This year's Chinese New Year seems less lively compared to the past years... or have age finally catch up to me... i wonder? Well, as we usher in the Year of the Bow Wow, i hereby wish everyone a joyous and prosperous new year ahead!!! Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!
A blink of an eye and the first month of 2006 is already over, time really flies I have to admit... and looking back, indeed the year started off pretty packed with activities... but well there means that i have only 9 mths remaining in my National Service... First goal is to get myself into the best shape so that once i get back my IC, the first things to do is to head down to the SIR building and get the photo changed... heez... its still my P6 picture... Alright then, a recap of the month...
Nothing much have change, as everyone return from their break, and my gym regime have been reduced quite abit due to the 'busy' work schedule we are having... But still finding every oppotunity to hit the gym to do some weights, or go for a run... Still got plenty of work to be done to the ideal shape i wan... GAMBATE!!!
Been rather busy with this year annual dinner, as i am part of the committee and have been put in charge of the prizes... thank god everything have been going pretty smoothly, and i have to say the prizes aren't bad at all...apart from that, i have been shopping around online too... look and stuff... got myself a polo tee online... haha interesting way of shopping really... this is how is look like...
A blink of an eye and the first month of 2006 is already over, time really flies I have to admit... and looking back, indeed the year started off pretty packed with activities... but well there means that i have only 9 mths remaining in my National Service... First goal is to get myself into the best shape so that once i get back my IC, the first things to do is to head down to the SIR building and get the photo changed... heez... its still my P6 picture... Alright then, a recap of the month...
Nothing much have change, as everyone return from their break, and my gym regime have been reduced quite abit due to the 'busy' work schedule we are having... But still finding every oppotunity to hit the gym to do some weights, or go for a run... Still got plenty of work to be done to the ideal shape i wan... GAMBATE!!!
Been rather busy with this year annual dinner, as i am part of the committee and have been put in charge of the prizes... thank god everything have been going pretty smoothly, and i have to say the prizes aren't bad at all...apart from that, i have been shopping around online too... look and stuff... got myself a polo tee online... haha interesting way of shopping really... this is how is look like...
Its abit big, but well overall its not bad... what more can you expect, this is the disadvantage of shopping online i guess.. not able to try on before buy... well i guess its a buy by experience thingy i guess...
Apart from that, weekends are still packed with dragonboat, as the new season starts, and also shopping for cny, didn't managed to get much this year... guess age is affecting my taste, things done seems to look as appealing as last time... and those that does usually cost quite abit... haha...
Well... i guess thats all, hope the gym is hope on a monday... hahah after all this CNY goodies... its making me really sinful already.... heez... Ciaoz pple.... Take care!!!

January is coming to an end... SO FAST!!!
Hey there!!! finally able to blog again... its been awhile... I know, but well, can't help it if my computer have been giving me so much problem right... heez... ok now is to update on my life for the past few weeks...
Hmm... where should i start? well life have been pretty slow i would say... some might think its a good thing as there is more time to slack and rest around... for me, its kinda boring as time is really crawling past everyday... At least there is Dinner and Dance things to keep me busy, or life could be so boring... Currently on a NO ALCOHOL diet, till CNY, one more week to go... not really a torture till u see people drinking good beer infront of you while u cannot have any... hahaha... But well for my New Year Resolution, neccessary sacrifices is needed i guess...
Have not been going to the gym as regularly... been trying to find time to go shopping for CNY goods... which i haven't been able to do... haiz... guess its old clothings for me this year liao... but will make the best of it too lah... Apart from that.. i guess there is nothing much i can mention liao lor... Dragonboat season for the new year just kicked off yesterday... so guess more workouts is needed to get my body condition for the intense race requirements i guess... i wan my GOLD!!! guess thats all i have for now... anything more interesting will have to come on my next entry i guess!!! meanwhile stay funkie and enjoy ur weekend then!!!

Rain Rain Go AWAY!!!
Argh!!! it been raining for 4 days liao.... on and off... but it sure dampen my spirit about going out to do some shopping and walk around...so many things to buy for CNY, yet haven't got the mood to go look around.... this sux man... haiz...
When will we see sun again? i really could use abit of it for tanning... This rain have not only spoiled my mood, but also my chance as a cymbalist for last week Changing of Guards as it was cancelled... First COG, First main of the new year... and this kinda thing have to happened... pissed... But i guess no choice lah, monsoon season sure comes late this time around...
Anyway, to all my Malay frens out there... Happy Hari Raya Haji!!! hope u all have a great day ahead... heez.. haiz... nothing much i can write liao... rain have washed away all my inspiration to write... Till a sunny day ahead, Ryan signing off...

First Weekend of the New Year!!!
Finally its the first weekend of 2006!!! these past 4 days seems to have past really slowly, or maybe its just that workload have started off once again and things seems to be picking up again... But whatever, the faster time passes, the faster i get to see my IC!!! OMG, can't wait for that day!
Anyway, more about the week... well, pretty smooth going i would say, except the top people seems to get more garang (hardworking in army terms), *haha* very keen to get us fit i can see... doing pushups and make to run round for every mistake they made...but i believe this "garangness" will slowly subside... its a matter of time... Other then that, visited Mowbray camp yesterday and today for COG (change of guards) rehearsal, first of the new year and we are doing MAIN (meaning marching down orchard road) here is the details:
Starting location: The alley dividing Heeren & Hello Singtel (Party World)
Marching off timing: About 530 pm (dressing up about 5pm)
Destination of March: Istana
Really hope to see friends there... so we can take pictures... support is greatly appreciated... heez... if unsure of where the place is, just call me yah...
Hmm... oh yah.. about New Year Eve, heez... guess its time to share a few photos of that night too... have a rather enjoyable time i must say... here they are

First Entry of 2006!!!
HAPPY 2006 Everyone... hope everyone have recovered from your hungover and keep back all the party mood as the year offically kicks off once again tml! Kids return to school, Adults back to work, NS pple back to training.. haha... such a wet blanket aren't I, well, I see no point decieving myself so might as well start of the year with a positive attitude!!! heez...
My New Year Resolution is WORLD PEACE!!! haha so bimbo right... but, honestly, with such a bad 2005, i would really wish that 2006 is better, less fighting, more harmony and stuff like that... haha but that is a general resolution... now comes to my personal resolution... have a whole list of them. Here they are:
(1) My Family, Friends and all those i know to stay healthy and happy
(2) To keep contact with my all my friends be it from army, poly, sec school etc...
(3) To revamp my waredrobe (till I save enough capital that is...haa)
(4) Upgrade the speed of this computer (one word to describe: SLOW)
(5) Get back my PINK IC (every NS men dream)
(6) Travel more often (I wan to go around the world!!! muahaha)
(7) More gatherings and get together with all my friends
(8) A path for my future Uni (NTU? SMU? Australia?)
(9) The ideal body i aim for before my ORD (vision: Allen Wu lolx)
(10) Gold Medals from Dragonboat races
There is plenty plenty more... but this is the few that comes to me first... This new year hope everything will be really smooth going. A msg out to all my close friends out there... Please keep in contact and take good care of yourself... those that is from nyp... many of u are going to gradute or have already graduted... Meaning the times we will be spending together will be so much lesser already... hopefully, i will not be forgotten after you guys have gradute, coz i am sure i will not forget you guys too... Refering to pple like B4 (May, Xiu, Carol, Irene) and Siak, Sherine, Angie, Andies and many many more... dun be offended if i never mention ur name yah.. coz too many it would take me till tml to get them all on... haha... Whatever it is... Just want to let all my friend know, I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!! thx for all the wonderful times we had together... and may we have plenty more to come... so keep in contact yah...!! cheers...

New Years in 5 hrs!!!
Hello peepz... the year is coming to an end, so i thought i give a few words before heading out to party my night away!! haha...
Well, its been a pretty smooth sailing year for me i would have to say... just like that and i have ended 1year 4 mths of NS life, 10 more months to go!!! This year have been a pretty fun filled one for me, as i done many things for the first time like traveling to europe for the first time and also participating in NPD (and my 10 sec of fame) for the first time. No to mention doing quite abit of traveling to thailand, holland, germany and malaysia being my last stop... This year have been filled with many ups and downs, some good frens have lost contact or have lessen contact, but new frens and bonds are made too... i experience many moments, some happy and some not... but whatever it is, there are memories that i can bring on with me through the years to come... here are some pictures taken this year!!!
