Another week and close to the end of the month!!!

Its been a fast week, seems like i have just completed timetrial for my dragonboat training, before i know it, there is practise tml!! yipee!!! Abit about the week...

Its been a pretty smooth sailing week, nothing extraordinary happened except the usual stuff, the week kick started with and ORD function, a day every bandsmen like me are looking forward to as it marks the day u are finally going to reunite with your PINK IC (i missed mine so much... heez..) Well, its was a function for some of the mates that have been through quite abit of parade with me through this year of my service, i am sure going to miss them pretty much i guess, all that crapping around, hot gossips and occasional backstabbing session... whoopsz... heez

Mid week, being the off peak period, took halfday to go jalan jalan in town, and caught "Flight Plans" really nice movie, really worth watching, love the camera angles the director used to capture the plane. Anyway, hate window shopping, why, because it always adds things to my wishlist/to buy list... haha here are some of the things i have spotted and is really interested to get just from Hereen...

(1) Levis Jacket (kinda formal, but can be used otherwise too...)
(2) Adidas Shoes w goodyear soles Brown (saw it in Frankfurt but was too expensive to get, so tot i get it locally, finally its out, but having second tot due to some "expert" opinion i got)
(3) Nike Sling Bag / Puma Sling Bag
(4) NewUrbanMale T-shirt (with cool slogan)
(5) Armani Specs [plastic frame] (most likely after army when i am back to my books)/ Levis Specs

Heez... well after that we didn't have time for other places and had dinner, so guess thats all for one place i guess.. heez... maybe can be added to my birthday wishlist i guess.. hee... That day was a Subway day for me man... had it for both lunch and dinner... Lov'in it...

Yesterday, was bored after camp, so when gyming with the guys from camp, then after, went for band prac (NYP) to see how everyone is doing, heez.. so glad to be sightreading pieces... after that, its was already drizzling when we (Me, andy and fong cheng) stepped out of skool, but its started to rain ELEPHANTS AND RHINOS (literally) and we were stucked at the busstop. Took a bus to AMK, before making a dash across to take a bus back to camp... Wasn't prepare to get my shoes wet... so i actually took off my shoes from AMK all the way back to camp... The RP was like shocked when he saw me barefooted and all. Looking like a fishmonger (with my jeans all rolled up and all) i braved the rain and lighting, and dashed back to bunk.... was soaking wet from top to bottom...

Luckly for me, i have very good bunkmates like Ba Chor and Tun Hao, who prepared a pail (belongs to ba chor) of warm water for me to shower.. thx guys... Had to air my clothes under then fan as it was indeed very wet... But nevertheless, it was a perfect "sleeping condition"

Kinda summarised my week ba, today have nothing much to talk about... but might be meeting up with some frens for some booze... haha unhealthy for my diet man... but once in awhile it ok i guess =P cannot remember when was the last time i had already... Tml is dragon boat time trails for the gers... hopefully everything turns up well... looking forward to it... meanwhile have a great weekend everyone... cheers..

Yet another week have passed...

Haha, its yet another weekend, this week i would say its not as boring compared to the last... heez, looking forward to a better week ahead... heez...

Anyway, nothing much is happening in camp, so i guess i will not want to blog about all those regimental sh*t and bore the hell out of you guys.. heez... Shall talk about my recent trip to town then. Wednesday was a halfday and since i didn't have anything to do and didn't want to rot in camp, so decided to walk around in town. Its been like months since i last been to town so it was time to update myself on the trends and stuff...

Met with Jin Cheng, Tuan Hao and Kenneth (my band mates) to do some casuel browsing, started of at paragon. Think the gang got a culture shock from my taste of shops as we browse AX and Burberry.. haa but after awhile they kinda got used to it... After browsing the shops in Paragon, next was Taka then Wisma, Along the way, there was lots of chats and laughters... At wisma, we visited Zara, where we got a t-shirt for joel wee as his birthday present (apparently its today) and then we met Weiye (and ORD personnel) working at Guess in taka, waiting for entry to uni... stayed on to chit chat for awhile before proceeding to levis. Saw a really nice jacket there, was so tempted to buy ($179) but there wasn't the size that i want, and the salesperson was so kind to help me check and there was a piece (last) at Raffles... but decide not to reserve it in the end... kinda regretted it kinda think of it... well its up to fate now lah, coz its a seasonal thing and there isn't going to be a restock on that jacket... heez...

After the walk, we settled down back at far east where we had Subway for dinner, have been craving for that a long long time... Before that, bumped into you hui, my SWO mate, he is doing well and got many news from him (about the band and some of the members)... Heez, so glad to meet and old fren and him still remembering you after such a long time... haha... well back to dinner, after that, we had a long bus trip back to yishun to get some cushions that Jin Cheng wanted, unfortunately, the bus ride was so long that by the time we got there, all the shops have already closed.. haha so we return to camp and that is the end of my town trip after a very long time... Fun i have to say, and also tiring...

I so want to watch a movie man!!! just realised the last movie i watch was "one last chance" the jack neo's production, i wan to watch Deuce Bigallow, 40 year old virgin, Goal and one more that is coming out Transporter 2, i missed Charlie and and chocolate factory and Corpse Bride... i think is about time i go on a movie marathon again... haha anyone interested to be my movie kaki??? haha

Tml is yet another dragonboating session, its the time trail session, haha donno if i can cope... but well will try my best... Was so looking forward to the race, but due to some unforsee circumstances, i guess i can only be the reserve for the race... well hopefully i can still earn something out from it.. above all its still down to having fun and knowing more people i guess... Alright i guess thats all ba... Enjoy the weekends and ciaoz...

Rainy Sunday!~!~1

As the year comes closer to the end, so come the monsoon season... its been raining cats and dogs since this sunday morning.... only now its seems to subside but there is a still a slight drizzle... Haha, was actually thinking of going town for a walk, but this rain have "washed" away all my interest and drive... heez...

Well yesterday i had back my first session of dragonboating after a very LONG LONG time, heez.. was kinda worried at first on how people will react... and will they still remember me... heez... but things went pretty smooth i have to say... juz have to be friendly, that is my motto, there was quite a number of new faces... but also some familiar ones... Like wayne, Reeve, Lynton... and many others which i know by face and cannot really remember their name... Lynton, the team captain, was kinda shocked to see me back... haha, was saying he haven't seen me for so long and suddenly i am coming back... have always wanted to go back, its juz that weekends have always seems to be occupied by parades and stuff so it seems impossible to be go back then... now its the "off peak" period, i can finally find time to go back...

recently found their webby, what make me touched was the pic on the front page... here it is...

This is a picture taken a long time ago... when i was actively involved in the team... I am the one in the extreme left on the boat... heez... so glad they have never forgotten me... and i have never really forgotten them too... this photo have definately bring back many wonderful memories of going to kallang every weekend, soaking up the sun and getting splash by the river water during our training... it was really really fun...

Anyway, there is going to be a race coming up... hopefully i can make it into the team by then... for now... its training training and more training for me... hope to get into the first team, and at least get a medal for myself... the last race, well was a "medaless sliver medelist" but was contented that we won the germans... this time have to strive... heez...

Okok enough about dragonboating, about today, its basically a rest day from the week.. and preparing for a new week ahead... feeling abit of stiffness around the neck, dragonboat? sleeping posture? i am not sure myself... but yoko yoko should work some wonders... And nothing beats spending some quality time with my mum... went with her to the market just now to get some ingredient for dinner later, haha my recent diet have given my mum abit of headache, as i have cut myself off form several food... No pain no gain....

Alright then i guess thats for my weekend... nothing too exciting... but well at least not as plain as the previous ones, and hopefully more colours will be added to the coming ones... Ciao take care and enjoy the rest of the weekends then...

Its yet another weekend....

Hey there peepz... finally another week is over... heez.. work wasn't all the fun as i was on duty so i had to stay in the office the ENTIRE WEEK!!! torturing man... heez... but nevertheless did try to do some of my things during my "Free" time lah (which is alot =P)

Anyway... other then rotting in the office all day, i was aski to do plenty of thing, i was a messenger, clerk, receptionist, u name it i done it man.. All because i am the new PA (personel assistant) of our ABSM (Assistant Band Sergent Major)... heavy workload to keep me busy for a few hours per day... heez...

Apart from that its been a pretty quiet and normal week at work lah... and the weekends, tink i will be going back to boating (as in dragonboating), its been awhile since i done it so kinda looking forward to it... but before that i will have to get something done in the first place... heez... FINALLY a planned weekend... no need to stay at home and rot... lolx...

Very long time no blog!~!~ (Part II)

Halo, i am back for more happenings for my past weeks... heez, you all didn't expect 2 event to take my entire 2 weeks or so right... Anyway after that trip, the entire week from there was WORK, WORK and more WORK !!! as we prepared for OCS commissioning parade and Change of Guard parade which took place on Saturday and Sunday respectively... weekend burned...

This are some of the things that we do during out free time during ocs rehearsals, we had to wake up and fall in at 645 and rush to SAFTI, then wait for time of the rehearsals and everything, this are taken during our free time and here are some of the nice ones... heez.... first is joel with his ever so "rocker" pose... lolx... looks to me like he wants to be the next singapore idol or someting... heez.. zhixun with a self pic, shuai ma?? Lastly kris trying to squeeze a dimple out of wen xiong's face... it was wen xiong last ocs parade before clearing leave for ORD... haha this big guy is always doing nonsensical stuff, there is always a good laugh when this guy is around... haha going to miss all the crap from this big fella...

Here is the scenes before the actual OCS parade on saturday... heez... as the OCT (Office Cadet Trainees) make last mins preparation for thier last parade as OCT, we manage to take a few pics during our tuning session... that is me with jin cheng, the speculating next ang wen xiong, as he can be as blur as ang at times and make pple laugh in a different way... fun guy heez.. pple show the devil's horns man.. a salute to the rockers... but look strange when done with a smile yah, dun u tink... heez... but its wonderful moments lah...

Now let move on to Changing of Guards, COG in short, happens once every first weekend of the month. It rotates around for the band who gets to march down orchard, and i guess that was the last time this year our band get to do the honor...

Here are some scenes before the actual parade itself... First is Paul, nasser and myself, the admin personnel of Band A, heez, i am the newly appointed, the other 2 are the OLD BIRD... still learning the skills from them, and they are already throwing everything to me already... haiz.. heez.. Next up is a pic of me with arvin and ang, their last parade before clearing leave, haiz... both talented percussionist, with them gone there is sure to be a percussion crisis... arvin is the brains behind all the drum solos for parade such as this one... salute man.. i like the last one... its a symbol we create for andy (aka ba chor, third from left) due to his recent obsession with protien shake, determine to have a bodybuilder figure by january... heez... all the best lah....

Like every COG, seniors that have already ORD will sure come down and support, this is no different... heez... In the center we have kok wee and kenneth, who apparently is the clone, or the replacement of kok wee after he have left as they both possess similar characteristic, he is know as "kok wee the second" some might even say... heez... then we have 2 talented flautist on the left, anneson and bernard, both in ntu now... heez... great frens now that they have graduated... feel weird calling them seniors actually when come to tink of it, we are of the same age... then we have alvin, farnie guy, still looking the same... heez.. the pic look like he was part of the parade too right.. coz he is in white (btw he is the one beside me, picture on the right)

Here are some pic of us live in action... heez... this picture is courtesy of firdaus, one of the ORD personel, and my camera... heez we start of at the street inbetween herren and party world ktv next to singtel, then we march all the way to the gate of the istana, then we end off at the street behind Plaza Singapura... hehez... hope this is enough info for those hu haven't seen a COG, so now u know k... must support next time yah...heez...

Alright i support that conclude my blog, its pretty long i have to say... heez.. been hard work but this wonderful memories will be very useful in the future... Shall leave u all with a last pic... not a pic for the weak hearted.. but here goes... Result of jay walking....

Conclude... the roads is fatal even when u have wings.... heez....

Very long time no Blog!~!~

Hey there it been a while since i last blog.... sorry for the absence... was really having no inspiration on blogging... heez... now i am back... okok let me juz update what i have been doing during this time of "absence"

Besides no inspiration, hectic work schedules also contributed in part of my MIA, anyway, here is a summary of what i have been up to lately ba... First up, a paid engagement at the Grand Hyatt hotel, it was for some company event thingy, our band was invited as the man (President) was there... shall share some photos as wellHere is a picture of us all dressed up and preparing to leave for the event, was actually suppose to be a picture of the 3 of us (front) but those 2 apparently joined in unnoticingly... heez..

Here is when man are at work... heez... shuai ba... heez... uniform always looks good when u are not in them... don't understand why either... heez...

Following that was a band trip up to Malaysia, was proudly organised by Central band as they felt that everyone deserved a "relaxed" day since the PEAK PERIOD (from apr to aug) of the band is over... the trip was held on a MONDAY, wasn't the best day to have it right, when u have to work the next day... but since its a FREE trip, we just went of with it lah... here are some of the places we have visited...

heez... first up we visited a fruit farm that with their main harvest being honey orange... kinda like a mix of mandarin orange and sunkist orange as the tour guide have intro (in the first pic) , 2nd pic is a pic of some of my buddies and I sneaking off to take picture and rest while the tour guide was busy introducing the other fruits avaliable in the farm to the other... the last one is a pic of me with a bunch of banana, i bluff u not... those are bananas, and yes... they are taller then me.. cannot remember whats the name of it anymore, anyway, its believe that if someone couldn't have baby, they juz have to touch this (or eat one banana from it, cannot remember) they will be able to have a baby... haha... believe or not its up to you.... but its indeed something new and i haven't seen before...

Next, we are off to and Ostrich farm, pretty big place and loads of ostriches, and definately a strong bird smell... hahaha...

here, is me with 2 ostrich eggs, lolz... there are like huge and nothing like chicken eggs man... first experience with ostrich eggs man... usually onli saw them in TV, heez.. now i know where flinstones get such big scrabble eggs.. lolx, in there middle, that is my fren, zhi xun, and yes he is about the same height as the ostrich... heez.. at most the ostrich is about 5cm taller as the ground wasn't very level... heez... but he is that tallest guy in band so its not suprise if he is taller than an ostrich too...lolx... lastly, me standing on an ostrich egg... haha worried that it might break, then fret not, coz before me, someone that weigh 108 kg just stood on it... and it could handle its weight juz well... so i am considered "light" lolz.... oh yah, know what the interesting is... the ostrich(no zhixun, hee) in the middle, actually understand malay and love taking photos, the owner just have to ask it to look at the camera in malay and it will follow... how cool its that...

Heez... then after visiting all these farms... its was just some shopping and makaning till its was about evening before calling a day... tiring yet enriching day... i wouldn't say it was not fun as i get to know my bunk and bandmates better... heez... its was fun lah... but hopefully the next one won't be one that we will have to work the next day again... *hint... heez....

Alright, there is actually a couple of more events... but i guess i will share later on... now its TV time... heez.. how no life can one gets, when ur life revolves around tv and internet... heez.... ciaoz then....

HAPPY MOON CAKE FESTIVAL!~!~!~

hey there peepz... its moon cake festivel again, "ba yue shi wu" 15th of august in the chinese lunar calendar... and also how chinese like to address "Big round butts" heez... *ahem anyway, its the night whereby the moon is the fullest of the month, an i have to agree the moon is pretty round and big not to mention, BRIGHT...

Yesterday 17 September, 430pm, my grandma is finally reunited with my grandad when she was cremated at Mandai, we had our last look at her, placing flowers inside the coffin before it was send to the furnace. I must say the technology nowadays is really advance, even the "last journey" to the furnace was computerize. As ah ma's coffin drew closer and closer to the furnace, tears such rowing down my cheeks, tears of both grief and joy... It just comes to me that this is all part and parcel of life, God create someone out of dust, and when someone is returning to god, they are offering in the form they are created, dust... Ah ma, hope you still watched over each and everyone in the family and you will always remain in that special corner of each and everyone of our hearts.

These 2 days, i have gotten pretty much things completed, my secret mission is 2/3 completed, and its all left with the last and final mission before it is complete, hope everything goes smoothly...

Back to lantern fest, after today service at mandai i hang out with herbert... as a matter of fact i just got home, and tot i should blog about these few days... its taught me a great lesson, "No point crying over those that have passed, if you didn't treasure them when they're still around" so cherish everyone you care so you will live without regrets... heez... Anyway, was with herbert at changi village just now, went to walk around, was pretty aimless as we have already ran out of ideas on where to go, but looking at all the kids playing fire works and with strings of lantern hanged from one tree to another, its brings back many wonderful childhood memories... hahah....
I am lost for words... anyway have a great lantern fest later yah... nites for now

She have moved on...

13th September 2005, 5,15pm, my grandma have left us... She was 92 years old, Died of old age and not of illness, thats the fortunate part, as she didn't have to suffer before departing, somehow similar to my grandad... But its pretty sad as its was just her birthday last sunday... haiz... but i guess when its time its time... lets nature takes it course and let time heals all wound i guess...

Tuesday when i got back from my parade rehearsal, my phone rang, and that was when i recieved this terrible news, as i have a parade the next day, i could rush home... Only yesterday evening after the parade that i rushed home drop my stuff, and went over to my uncle's place where the wake is held... they were praying when i got there, so i helped out in serving the guest with drinks and things... when service is done, i when to look at her, she seems like she is sleeping, and looking all calm and peaceful... then, slowly as the night approaches, everyone slowly left, then everyone went home to rest, i walked my parents home, then packed a few things before returning as i agreed to help out for the night-watching.

It was till early this morning, at about 7 plus that i left the place, and took a short snooze, later this evening would be returning to help...

My blog seems to be recording sorrows of my life.... or maybe its just that i lead a sad life in total... i am pretty unsure... but well... life still goes on...

Looking Back....

At times, its can be sad to be looking back at your past, of moments that is sad and you have tried very hard to forget... however, in the mids of it all, there is bound to find things that lightens you up, like a candle in the dark...

Recently have been digging out old stuff from corners of my rooms, photos, books, gifts, etc... Found some stuff i never knew i have and some i would have rather kept hidden... Memories of each item as i browsed them seem to hit me like the incident was only yesterday... the feeling is really hard to describe...

Indeed, throughout my life, many things have happened... some happy, some sad, but all this i guess its just part and parcel of life. Looking at the words i am typing now, you must be thinking for such a young age, i sure do sound old right... lolx.. i dun blame you, it do seems pretty "mature" heez... not like the usually stuff you would see from me... Its just this surp of the moment where all this thought gets to me... so i thought i share it with you guys...

Other then looking at my past items, i have been running through stuff of my army too, things i have been doing for the past year or so in the National Service, no doubt there is change in me, one way or another, but for better or for worse, i guess it not for me to decide... But this past year in NS, i guess its been pretty smooth sailing... Honestly, i kinda missed BMT abit, haha, for those that have been through it must think that i am going bonkes, but i am not... recently a bunch of my frens just got enlisted, to be exact, juz yesterday and today, and more to go tml, haha really hope they will enjoy theirselves there.. i am sure they will... 3 mths might seems like a long time... but actually it passes in a blink of an eye...

Guess i have too much "mo shui" tonight, shall end off with some food for thought.... "Looking back at your past is not neccessary a bad thing, its how you use the past to determine your future that is important"...

Another week is almost over...

Hey there peepz!!! heez, know its been pretty rough weekend, but well life still have to go on for me... Got news that Uncle Ross body is back home where it should be, and bural will be soon, just hope he can rest in peace... But the good news is my grandma's health seems to be getting better, though not as active as she used to be... but as long as she is alright... its okie...

Been travelling to and fro tekong for the last three days, was there for the Passing Out Parade, its been 9 months since i was in their position and its sure brings back alot of memories man... This parade is some what grander (for school 2) as the reviewing officer for their parade was the PM himself, Mr. Lee, rumours was saying that his son is one of them in the contigents but we are not sure... lucky everything was done well for both parade...

Today, got a break for our hardwork the past three days... got out of bed slightly earlier as Victor came over to look at my com, which was hit by a spyware sometime back... Thx victor for getting it fixed... then, when to setting some finance things and get my hair trimmed... i swear i will not go back to that barber again, she is freaky when its comes to doing her job, he "heck care" attitude will scare any customer man.... lucky the damage wasn't great if not i would have to return to my BMT days (botak)... Anyway, afterwhich, was out walking, then was deciding to return home or go to camp, but was home in the end, no place beats home i guess.. heez...

Recently, many people around me have been talking about relationships and things, one such incident seems pretty interesting, so i thought i post it out for discussion...

A(guy) and B(ger) have been friends for many years, very good friends, that can talk about anything under the sun... One day, B told A that a guy is going after her, and A was really excited for her, being her good friend and all... However, after that, A was feeling weird, there is this unknown pain somewhere in him, and he was feeling rather 'sour' about B... Is he

(a) Worried about losing a good fren
(b) Falling for B
(c) Worried that B will be cheated

These are some of the possibility that we have come out with for the situation, there is no definate, but i mean (b) is pretty hot... If u are in A's position, which will u choose to be the reason of you are feeling...

Interesting at times what we guys do when we are bored... lolx... Anyway, tml is Friday!!! hereby wishing everyone a wonderful weekend in advance!!! Adiose....

This have been a pretty quiet... and pretty sucky weekend for me i have to say... Visited my grandma after my medical checkup on friday, she is in a pretty bad state, very skinny and bed ridden, sad sight to be seeing, just hope that if she is leaving to look for my grandad, it would be a peaceful departure... no suffering and all...

Uncle Ross is gone, his body will reach back to his home tml (monday), very sad to lose someone so great, my dad is pretty upset over it... me too, to a certain extend... though we donno each other that well, but the warm hospitality that we recieved when we got there everytime we visit will be remembered for life and dearly miss...

Back at home, things are pretty much the same... at times... i wonder coming back home is really such a good thing... or should i just stay in camp... and rot my life away... haha, its not that i dun miss home or anything, its just that, its can be rather "costly" to be at home or out of camp... guess this speaks for most nsf... heez... Coming week, tekong POP, three days in a row... hope it will be fun lah.. my first parade back in BMT since my own POP... will refresh lotsa memories i believe... the week to come is going to a pretty short one i can forsee... just home it will be a fun one lah... Nothing to write already i guess.. boring weeks says it all i guess.. Ciaoz
